I bought this game for my 3-year old grandson. I'm told that he loves searching for the items, while my 14-month old grandson just loves playing with the "tube." My daughter and son-in-law love that it keeps the 3-yr. old occupied and happy for quite awhile when they are on one of their many car trips. For the price, you can't go wrong.

This is one of my families all time favorite games! It is compact and only takes up a little space to play it. I have played with my 70 something parents and my twenty something daughter at the same time and we all "get it "and have a wonderful time. This game is a great equalizer. Just when you think you are going to win the game changes due to a rule change or an action by a player. The randomness allows anyone to win which increases the fun for all. If you want a good gift for someone close to you or not, this is the one. Cheap and Fun!

Super Scrabble

Super Scrabble is a fun concept, and looks well in design.
Take all the times from Scrabble, and double them, and double the amount of spaces around the edges.

That's the good part.


The board however, is a split-to-open design, and seems to (at least with mine) to have arrived slightly warped, which means that the letters along the fold tend to center.

Frankly, it doesn't work very well, especially if you're used to playing on a deluxe edition board, or the Barnes and Nobles edition (and so forth).

If you enjoy Scrabble, it might be worth it to you, but if you don't have a deluxe edition already, just get that instead.

Monopoly: The Mega Edition

Our house loves monopoly, and got this version after purchasing, reading reviews, and returning the new electronic banking version. We play very quickly and reviews mentioned that the electronic banking would slow us down, and potentially make it more difficult to play our own subtle rule changes such as free parking. Having said all that... we got this version and love it. We've only played a few times, but find the additional properties and the extra die a ton of fun. These twists make it more interesting overall, and give the younger players a bit more change at some luck. There is a lot of different strategies to think about with the bus passes, also. Pokeno Card Game

Played this game for my first time at my brother's house. This was my sister-in-law's mother's game that she played with her family. There were nine of us. We all had fun. I thought my grandkids would enjoy playing this so I had to get it. Could not find it locally so of course I went online. Thank you Amazon.com!
As soon as I got it I played it with my three grandchildren, ages 7, 9 and 11. They love it! We play it like my sister-in-law played it: six plastic cups marked Center, Diagonal, Vertical, Four Corners, Horizontal and Black Out.

Phase 10 Card Game

A few years ago (I help with students at church) another leader brought a pack of these cards and suggested a few played.... I joined in and was hooked... So I purchased a pack of these cards for my game collection. I have had ages 8-88+ play this game and have never had anyone who didn't love it.

Game Play:
Phase 10 is sort of like Rummy backwards. Each player (2-6 players) are dealt 10 cards. You then lay the remaining cards face down in the middle and flip one card face up.

On your turn you must pick a card up (either the one laying face up in the middle or one from the pile) and discard one face up in the middle (covering the previous face-up card).

I love the deck so far, great quality. The only problem I had is according to the product features supposed to include cut cards which my set did not. Other than that great cards at a reasonable price.

I asked for this game for my 38th birthday--believe it or not! Every time I would take my 2 children into the local toy store I would stand and play this game which they had on display. Honestly, it is a great educational game for both my 6 and 9 year old children--you have to add up the dice and then figure out which combination of numbers is best to flip down. It really is fun and very addictive. I knew my kids would love to give it to me since they always saw me play it, and I also knew they would enjoy it and not realize they were having to do math!
