This is a fun game. When we played on Thanksgiving with about 5 of us and had a great time. I plan on playing again at Christmas with the family.

Trouble Board Game

The game is a fun to play, but my kids (6 and 3 years old) didn't quite get it. The board quality is pretty low (just a sheet of molded plastic over a piece of cardboard), and there is no place to hold the pieces besides the flimsy box the game comes in. I don't expect the pieces to stay with the board very long, and will probably have to use a ziploc or something to keep it all together.
The game itself is fun. My 3 year old could push down the popper herself with some effort, and that was her favorite part of the game. I agree with others that younger kids will get frustrated not rolling a 6 to get a piece out of home. I allowed them 2-3 pops to give them a chance to play. I absolutely LOVE this game. I love the fast-paced hilarity that it creates. However, why don't they make refill cards? It's not quite as fun when I play with someone who's never played before, and I know the answer right away because it's a repeat. While 1200 puzzles is a lot, I would like to buy some more if they were available.

A great social party game. Opens up ways brains think a like! Sometimes the game gets on a roll as your minds sync up and you just know exactly what the person is saying without much hints and other times it just get challenging as you have no clue what is going on and have no way to articulate without the tabooed words. Great semantic game where you're trying to say words without literally saying them!

Hasbro Candy Land Castle Game

My son turned 4 the month that we received this game. It was very easy for him (he knows his shapes and colors) and I think he is too advanced for the game to be of any educational value to him. It reinforces "waiting your turn" and being a good loser (he's an even worse winner, yelling "I won, I won"). He seems to win more than he loses. He loves the game, but I think it would be better for younger kids who do not know their shapes and colors.

Balderdash Game

Balderdash is hilarious and a good work-out for your brain. We laughed hysterically. The key is to bluff people into selecting your answers, while you try and select the correct answer.

Now, not one person got a single answer right. I think that's a good thing. It's a testament to how obscure these questions are.

Let's face it, though, the game is only as good as the group that's playing it.

Mousetrap

They sure don't make things as durable as they used to! We owned this game as kids and bought it for our son last Christmas. The game hasn't changed much but it's construction has. The parts are cheap and don't fit into the board well and as you're playing it can take a couple of tries to make everything work in sync.

This game is so fun. It's a classic. The more players the more challenging it becomes since a player does not get points if another player has the same answers. I am always suprised by the creative answers people will come up with.
The game is played when a player rolls the letter dice and rolls a letter. If the letter is R then each player has a list 1-12 of things. For example- Famous Person. For R someone might put Roy Rogers. You put something down for all 12 questions and then compare at the end. It's very fun.

I was surprised at what a good game this was. My mother in law loves scrabble but the whole taking turns thing does hang the game up a lot, so we bought this to test it out as a gift for her this year. I will likely buy about ten of them to give as gifts. It really is a SUPER game and even little kids can play. Great price, great size, great game.
