This is a game I often get kids for birthday gifts. The parents are just excited about it as the kids, as they often had it themselves. It's not educational, but so much fun. Especially popular with active boys who may not always like traditional sit-down games.
Set is about pattern-making, but the patterns touch 4 different categories: shape, color, number and shade. My 7 year-old learned the rules in a few minutes, and we were quickly playing. It's an enjoyable, addictive game, but also requiring concentration and focus to succeed. I highly recommend for the game-oriented family with kids 6+.

Sometimes you want to do something fun with your kids that doesn't involve TV etc but you don't have much time after dinner and before the bedtime routine. This game is great for some instant family fun. I have two boys: ages 9 and 11 and both can play it without needing a lot of help from one of us.
I would say this game teaches logical skills and critical thinking skills. However, it is not so "intense" and heavy handed with trying to teach to where you can just chill out and have fun.
In my opinion, some games try too hard to be educational etc. But after kids have spent 6 hours in school, spent another 1-2 hours doing homework, sometimes you just want to chill out and have fun without all the heavy stuff. This game ... Read More:

Traditional UNO has been one of our family's preferred vacation games for years. I'll take it for granted that you know the basics of regular UNO, a game that is not hard to learn and a lot of fun to play.
Now add in this UNO Flash Base. There are several small differences, but it definitely keeps to the tradition of the game. The biggest difference is the ability to make the game a little more fast-paced with a lighted count-down timer and lively tones while it does so. You can set the timer to four or six second intervals, or you can choose to turn the timer part altogether. This is wonderful because you get a lot of control over the speed of the game.
No matter what time interval you use, the next big difference is the fact ... Read More:

This is a great family game. This game is fun for any age that can read. It can be played with odd or even numbers. The game encourages table talk and developes logical thought in younger players. Great for large gatherings. Don't miss it.

This is a wonderful, fun game to play. I especially like that it grows with the child, as you can play the easier or more difficult games. I bought it as a present for my little girl's 3rd birthday, and she loved it from the start.
I would have loved a few small alterations - it would be nice to have a place to keep the cards and the key. Little hands often knock over the stack of cards when trying to take one from the top. (We only use half of the cards at a time, but it still happens.) Also, it would be good storage for these items when you aren't playing the game. Also, our "treasure box" has never opened very easily, and it isn't easy to remove the balls once they are all in there. These are pretty picky changes for a game that is well worth ... Read More:

We really like this game. It's so much fun when the bed bounces up and the monkey's fall off! So far it has worked like it should. It's one of our faves!

My son is turning 4 next month and he LOVES this game. We just got it 2 days ago and we've played it multiple times and he keeps on asking for more. I love how it is a great, positive, confidence-builder game with the "I can do that" little tasks it asks you to do. It's also good with counting 1-2-3's and then counting again at the end with the stars. We've had a lot of fun with this so far. A great family game.
We used to play this game when we were kids (in the 70s). I remembered it and found it again. Graphics these days are much greater than they used to be! This game is great fun with the whole family! Everybody understands things like flat tires, speed limits, etc.... Our two boys (4 and 7) have fun with it too.
