I got this as part of my daughter's 1st b-day gifts. She likes it just fine, I would have given it a five star, but I agree, the major design flaw is that the on/off key is to the right of the zero. She turns it on and off constantly and sometimes turns it off when she doesn't want it to be off.

My husband got this for our 18-month-old son for Christmas as "his" gift to him as I had already done all the shopping.

It's cute and he played with it all the time. Has lots of little features to it. There is even a phrase (can't remember what it is) that the phone says that he would attempt to mimic every time. Cute!

My only problem with this is that the cord ALWAYS comes apart. ALWAYS. Why does it have to snap together? I don't get it. As short as it is, it isnt' a choking hazard, so I don't understand. And on top of that, one of the parts that snaps together is cracked.

Would buy again, but it just doesn't seem very durable!

We got this phone for our baby to give her in place of our phone. We were afraid she would figure out how to call China.

She likes the lights and sounds and plays with it all of the time. Sounds are soft, don't drive me and Dad crazy. HOORAY!

Highly recommend.

I got the chatnow for Christmas and I also got this too. Mine had a radio on it though. It doesn't tell what station you are on which stinks! But anyway, this feature is okay except the ear bud kept falling out. You have to sit and put it in exactly right or something like that. It's okay, a bit pricey but not to outragious. I would only pay five bucks for this.

This is a great little phone. We purchased it for our daughter's room. That was in 2001. She has since moved on to a more "grown-up" phone. This phone is still working! We keep it plugged in as a backup to our cordless phones. We recently went through two hurricanes -- Gustav & Ike. This phone was a tremendous help when we lost electricity for 6 days. We were able to use this phone with no problems. It has no caller ID and the ringer is a bit high pitched. There is a ringer volume for you to adjust it.

Overall, good reliable phone with no issues after 7 years.
