Uncle Milton Rainbow In My Room

I ordered this for my daughter's sixth birthday. She's a rainbow nut and totally loves it! It mostly works the way the review states it should. However, the projector no longer turns on/off 'with the wave of your hand' and the 'bonus window prism disk for real daytime rainbows' was not in the box. I called the manufacturer as the instructions state and was told that the 'wave of your hand' feature was the first model and is no longer implemented to save battery life. I was also told that the disk will be sent out shortly. It is really cute. Enjoy!

Discovery Exclusive Rainbow in my Room

I bought this for my five year old niece for Christmas and my sister says it's just adorable and my niece loves it!

The only criticism is that it runs on batteries or an AC adapter and it would have been nice if an adapter were sold with it.

Do a Dot Art Washable Rainbow Markers 6 Pack

My 4 year old first used Do-A-Dot with a cousin on a vacation. When we were stuck inside due to weather, these dot markers were great! The markers kept them busy up to an hour at a time. Just hand any child 3-? some Do-A-Dot and a big pack of white paper and they'll go crazy making pictures. They also used regular markers in some of their art with the dots. Fantastic!

As far as washable...well. My daughter did get a big red dot on the front of a very lightly patterned dress. I went to wash it immediately and it took some long scrubbing, but DID come out. I think it was due to applying detergent directly to the dot, rubbing it in with my finger and allowing to soak for a while, then rubbing and rinsing, then a final wash. ... Read More:

Transformers Lite Brite Refill Kit with Pegs

My son loves Bumblebee and we thought this would be awesome for him to learn letters and colors. Well it was working great. He was really getting into putting the yellow pegs into all the Y's and white pegs into all the W's, when we ran out of yellow pegs. No problem, we used the yellow from his twin sisters set and there still wasn't enough yellow. So the next day I went to the store to get a refill pack and they are $5 for 100 assorted pegs which only includes about 20 or so yellow pegs. Between this set and two lite brite sets there wasn't enough of yellow to cover the page. We still need 50 pegs to finish the picture. He was so disappointed. You would think Hasbro would provide the appropriate colors to fill these special sets. Be ... Read More:

its great because you can study it and figure out how it works, whose lightsaber it is from the movies (in this case its a Qui-Gon Jinn blue) and fight with it because its durable, all sorts of stuff!! i LOVE it!!

Storytime Theater with Dora the Explorer Story

I purchased this last year (2007) for my daughter who was then turning 4 and she fell in love with it. My girls are now 2 and 5 and they lay in bed together and watch the stories.

PROS Bedtime mode is perfect because it shuts off automaticly! Durable, easy to use, batteries last a long time.

My only complaint is that they do not have enough stories and that they are hard to find. It is my understanding that this is nolonger in production? I own all the stories I think but I do find myself looking from time to time just in case to see if I can find another.

Storytime Theater with Winnie the Pooh Story

We bought this for our three year old last Christmas, but it was quickly commandeered by our two-year-old, who simply cannot live without it. Funny thing is, even after nine months, we still only have one story (Pooh), but my little guy never gets tired of it! He watches it every day just before nap and bedtime, and can of course now quote along with the entire book, which we read together during the day. He carries it from room to room some days, and has proven to me that the projector and the cartridge are *very* durable. The battery draw must be very low, because they last forever (we've only replaced them twice since last December). Only drawback is that we can't seem to find any other stories in local stores. I got 3 for Christmas six months ago, a green, a blue, and a purple. They look good and are quite durable. They will raise a welt on the skin if a 4 year old whacks someone with all his strength. Realistic (to the movies) looking handles, but none of our handles are truly comfortable to hold for swordplay. I do think that the value of fun, imaginative play, is high in these toys. Have some fun and try these.
