My sister gave my girls the Princess Liana and Princess Alexa dolls. My 5 year old chose Alexa and by default my 2 year old got Liana, and since that's her middle name that was a nice added bonus.

We already had the Diamond Castle book so my girls were familiar with the characters and the story, which was also good. Those 2 points are going to be irrelevant to most people.

WIth that background information aside, let me get to the point:
- The dolls are advertised to each sing 2 songs and when their hands are "joined" they will sing a duet.
---Yes, they each sing 2 songs (each doll has the same 2 songs, so you're not getting 4 songs).

i love the movie and the dolls, but this drives me nuts that i cannot find matching dolls anywhere. even here they are sold differently. one uses a strap to change dresses, the other a knob. it's not that big of a deal, but since they aren't the same model number, when they sing their duet, it's off. liana sings faster than alexa and the brochure tells you to buy matching dolls, but they're aren't any!

This is a great little MP3 player. My husband is very into music and was quickly able to load this up. My daughter has had this for about 9 months and it's still working great after all the abuses a 5-year-old can dish out.

PROS: Holds a lot of songs. The volume level does not go too loud to protect those young ears. There are very few controls - volume, forward and reverse, which makes it super easy for young ones to operate. The ear buds are small - perfect for little ears! Plugs in and works with iDogs and iHome products.

This thing has been nothing but trouble from the moment we took it out of the box. It was a pain to put together. It's huge. My kids kept leaning against the sides and knocking it over. Then, they somehow climbed on top and cracked the frame. Now, I have half a cottage and it sits in her room full of all her stuffed animals. I think they played nicely in it once before it got totally trashed.

My daughter knows more about horses than I do and this toy was great. She had one of every breed and loved that they have their own little spot to go in. I just wish there where little hooks on the back so I could hang it on the wall.

Barbie Mariposa Magic Wings Mariposa Doll

I would not recommend his Mariposa Barbie. The wings constantly come off the doll and it is not easy for a child to put them back on, requiring parent intervention every couple of minutes.

I bought this for my[...][grand daughter. She has 2 sisters age 4 and 8. They have had in the past a plastic (Junk) Barbie type ($150.00)doll house that did not captivate their attention nor stand up to normal wear and tear. My grand daughter has been talking about a "Real" doll house "You know Grandma, one made from wood. One that is pretty and we can make believe with" I've been shopping dollhouses for a month! What I have found out is that they can be terribly expensive, cheaply made or so intricate that they are really not appropriate for play. I ordered this one for this Christmas. I bought this set for myself and my daughter to have the opportunity to create fantastic scents and lip balms. This product came with a small amount of every item listed on the box. However, we were disappointed with the lip balm "flavor" which was simply a smell, the only thing a person would taste if they licked their lips is grease. The perfume mixture doesn't allot enough for each bottle to be full, but instead just enough to reach the halfway mark. It would also be helpful if the individual labels included the ingredients of the base materials (besides the flavor or scents), just in case the gift recepient has chemical allergies.

I purchased this doll online as a Christmas present for my daughter. She doesn't really care about the story, but wanted to have a prince for her princesses. However, her favorite quality of this particular prince is his guitar. I figured that it was a great choice, especially since the description states that the doll, "features Ian's gem guitar." So I was expecting something more than very thin cardboard, attached to the packaging, with no real way for it to be held or played with by the doll. Now I'm not sure if I should still give it to her and risk possible tears on Christmas morning when she discovers the guitar was basically a scam, or try to talk her into choosing a different prince to accompany her princesses and return this one.
