We purchased this for our 4 1/2 year old son who loves to build with Legos and is just starting to show an interest in Star Wars. With a little help, he was able to build the ship which made him very proud. He really likes the mini-Storm Troopers and has "introduced" them to our "regular" Lego people. He spends hours with Legos each week, constructing different scenes, building his own ships, and just letting his imagination go free. I would recommend this set for anyone who has a Lego fan in their house.

He took it with him everywhere the first few days we had it. Little pieces do come off pretty often so it may not be the best Lego set for younger children.

I think that this is a very cool set, nice and affordable. Unfortunatly, the R2-D2 ejection button doesn't work all that well, but it's still a cool set!

This is a great first big-boy (and big-girl) lego set. Our three year old loves it. I put the chassis and wheels together, and he can "decorate" the vehicles with the extra brick. I think he will play with this set for years.

I ordered this last year for my 4 year old son (who is now 5 1/2). I thought he'd like it, but wasn't sure what to expect. WOO HOO!! This was so much fun. It was definitely one of "those" toys, where you think to yourself, "This was one of the best $30.00 I've spent.". It's by no means cheap, but, honestly, watching my little guy's excitement every time he opened another door was a delight for me.

I incorporated counting, number recognition and the brain-teaser of finding the numbered door. The calendar layout is a scene of the Lego City. The numbered doors are scattered throughout the city, so your child has to hunt for the correct number. I would recommend this walker for anyone who is really into LEGO Star Wars. It has space for your own additional clones in the back. (This set only comes with 2 clones, so I added 4 of my own.) It has really cool hidden missiles that fire with the lift of 2 of the front guns. One thing I didn't like is that you can't make it walk very well with your own hands. But it can be posed well, especially on a bumpy bed. I like this toy and my dad plays it with, too. (Reviewed by a 10-year-old boy.)

Ultimate LEGO Building Set

We bought this set for my 4 year old son for his birthday and it was/is an immediate hit with him and his 7 year old sister. As other reviewers have mentioned, it is more of a starter set than an ultimate set, but if you read the product review you will see that at 400 pieces it is not the largest (or most expensive) set. The tub is terrific for storage and is big enough to hold constructed pieces between building sessions.

We'll be adding more sets with specialized pieces, building plates, etc. But this kit does have lots of options for building houses, cars, helicopters, airplanes animals etc. Given that and compared to some of the other sets, this is actually a pretty good bargain for $25.
