I recommend this product highly for it's creative value and the bright look on my daughters face (9 years old) that she created something so cool. This is just a really great product and I wish there would have been something like this when I as a kid.

I saw the Crayola Glow Station at my Godchilds house last week and was amazed.This 5 year old girl was having the time of her life creating figures,and was nevered bored.
I would have LOVED this gift when I was young.
This is a wonderfull toy for a child to create the artist inside of them, without the mess of Crayons.

We bought this easel for my daughters (age 6 & 7) last Christmas. As I am starting my Christmas shopping this year and really looking over reviews before I make my purchases, I realized that I should give feedback on some of the things we purchased last year. This easel is very versatile: chalkboard, dry erase board and paper allow for all kinds of artistic expression! Some of the features I appreciate: adjustable legs, paper roll in between the easel boards, shelves for paint, dry erase markers and chalk. We purchased the paint and chalk supplies as well, and I really like the paint dispensers. Even my 2 year old son likes the easel. I am going to return this. After much excitement to get started, both kids were frustrated and disappointed. Not a good toy. The directions/instructions were very brief, too hard to see the picture through the plates, the litte balls rolled all over.

My son received this for his 6th birthday, and after seeing me do it twice was able to do it on it's own. You make a mold out of playdoh-like material, pour the 'goo' in, and wait 5 minutes. That's it!

I would have liked to know how this toy works before I bought it. As the ads suggest, there is something magical about the way the water reacts with the mat as the kids make their drawings, but the magic ends when we realized the drawings couldn't be erased. Nope, we had to wait on Mother Nature's timetable for the kids' artwork to evaporate. My son was dawdling around before bed last night, then confessed he was waiting for the mat to dry so he could play with it again. Nope. Bedtime, sorry. This morning the first thing he did was pour water all over it to see the whole rainbow appear in it's full-vivid glory. That's all the fun anyone will be getting out of it until it dries again.

I bought the Melissa & Doug Deluxe Easel Companion Set for my daughter's 3rd birthday and the Melissa & Doug Easel. I opened the paints and poured in all of the corresponding cups and she started painting and I started to smell thermaldahyde. The smell was horrible. This was the same smell of when I was in cadaver lab in college and I wore double gloves since it smelled so bad. I threw all of the paints away and the paintings into the outside garbage. I could still smell the thermaldahyde on the kitchen table where I put her painting after she was down. I washed the table with wood polish and kitchen cleaner and still smelled of thermaldahyde. Pixos Starter Set

This was one of the few toys my 4 year old twins asked for for their birthday, so of course I had to buy it. To put it simply... we used it for 10 minutes and was returning it to the store that same say. The pen doesn't dispense properly. Either nothing comes out, or a whole bunch come out at once. Then I had little beads bouncing all over my floor. I will get them the heat beads instead.

My son was given this as a gift. It is not mess free, at all. They have to wipe the paint off in between colors and is messy. The colors painted on the page are not true colors, they are various shades of each other except the yellow. A regular paint set would be better. I don't reccommend this product.
