I have never seen a journal article on achieving good color that didn't start with the statement "You MUST profile your monitor". I am a professional photographer with over a million photographs, and I couldn't agree more, in this digital age if your computer doesn't know what you are seeing on your monitor you simply will have "drug store" color on your prints. I chose the W-Rite EODIS2 Eye-One Display 2 based on Scott Kelby's recommendation. The plus's were: reasonable price, and works great. The minus is the documentation is obviously written by a non English speaker--it needs to be better. But, if I can work my way through it, anybody can. I promise you will like the price and the results.

As has been noted by others, the installation is awful. I can't believe that I was required to open an account online just to install and play the game. I guess I will have to be more careful and review games in the future to make sure I do not purchase games controlled by Steam or any other third party vendor.

I would have no issue if Steam was voluntary, but this was not voluntary. It made my install take 30 minutes because I couldn't understand why my install placed Steam on the hard drive and not Portal. I uninstalled and re-installed the software, but instead of getting Portal, Steam was installed again. Eventually I realized I had to do a second re-install after Steam was installed to get Portal on, but not until the software ... Read More:

I think Microsoft has consistently maintained a high quality series.
I think it is the best AI game on the market today.....I am very pleased.
Asian Dynasty is the icing on the cake...I just love it.

My only complaint is my kids have to share it! I've had to put time limits on how long they play! My 3 year old loves the cell stage, my 7 year old is completely addicted, and my 10 year old is very patient waiting for his turn. I have bought this game for friends and family and no one has been disappointed! Very fun game, creative, and lets the kids go at their own pace.

I am a TBS fan. I seen this was a 4X RTS game and heard from a friend it was cool so I bought it. This is a RTS game that's more like TBS game! It's a fun game but IMO mutiplayer is where this game is best at. Mutiplayer is a lot of fun!!!

Stardock did not put a DRM on it, so when you buy it, it is YOUR game! After seeing what happened with spore I am very happy that this does not limit your installs! I was able to install it on all my computers with out any problems!

CSI: New York

This is one of my first CSI games so I am new to this genre, but this game is just plain fun. The characters are unique and well executed (uh oh, did I give away the plot?). The game play is varied and the tasks are always a new challenge. If you love CSI then this is the game for you!

This is a good mapping program but one has to remember if you are buying this you are purchasing it for a secondary use to your field GPS. Meaning if you want a GPS for your car look at the Garmin Nuvis. It does exactly what it is designed to do. Good product!

LEGO Batman

Lego Batman is a very fun game. It is probably the best in the "Lego(insert franchise here)" series. But, as usual, PC is the LAST priority for gaming publishers and it shows on this game.

While the other versions play near flawlessly, this game doesn't.

I can't knock it too much. After all, it's one of those few games for people with an older system to still be able to enjoy modern games instead of the same stuff released a while ago.

After all, it can run on a 1Ghz Pentium III with only 256MB of memory and a DVD drive. I have a computer like that in my basement. But, I ran this game on my new computer: A Core 2 Duo with 2GB of memory and a 512MB Nvidia GeForce 8000.
