Windows Vista Home Premium with SP1 Upgrade

After upgrading my system from Windows XP SP3 to Windows Vista SP1, it didn't take long for me to realize I wished I hadn't bothered. My system takes twice as long to boot-up, and my programs take longer to load. Turning off Aero speeds things up a bit, but Aero is the one thing about Vista I really like. It's not my system either. I have a fast Intel Penryn Processor, and 3GB's of RAM. I'll admit that the upgrade was painless for me, and not nearly the nightmare that some users experienced. I also have no major issues with it. The problem is, everything that Vista and XP can do, XP does it better and faster. Without all the eye candy turned on, you'd think that XP was an upgrade to Vista. I have a registered, working version on LR1 on my XP system, and went to install this product (LR2). Unfortunately, I don't have my LR1 keycode - I usually write the keys when I first open the box (both on the cd and a master list of my keycodes that I keep in a cd case with the written-on cd) but I have accumulated a ton of them and misplaced LR1. It's probably around and I'll be able to fully register once it turns up, but bear in mind when you buy this that you'll need your original LR1 keycode to enter along with the one they send with LR2. One nice feature is that you can use it with full features for 30 days while you look for it! Reader Rabbit I Can Read With Phonics 1st and 2nd Grade

My child is having issues with phonics. We ordered this game in the hopes to give him a love for language and phonics. It worked. He is performing better on his phonics and language tests-he is now passing them. He enjoys reading, and he is actually writing stories. This has been a good purchase and the former reviews are correct.

My children (4 and 7) love playing ISPY. It keeps them busy for hours. This title is fun - you solve "riddles" and earn tickets to play games in the Fun House. One thing I particularly like is that the game is good for readers and non-readers alike. The riddles are written at the bottom of the screen, and children can click on words they don't know and the program will read them aloud. This sort of evens the playing field for my kids, and they enjoy playing together and separately. A great pick.

I bought this for my husband for Christmas, not because I love it when he spends tons of time playing this game, but because I love him. And Honestly, I've got it good, it's pretty rare that he'll play computer games, and I have my own time killers that I play too, so I felt it was only fair to get this for him. He'd had a copy before but then lost it when we moved from our first place, so I got him this one. He really enjoys it for both the strategy involved as well as the historically based battles and the visual elements. I have to admit, it is kind of cool . . . But I'm just not a war person, so I doubt I'll ever play it myself.

CH Products Pro Pedals USB Flight Simulator Pedals ( 300-111 )

I got my pedals few weeks ago and have been using them almost on a dayly basis. The design is sturdy and although I have not "forced the issue", I feel confident that the pedals would hadle any kind of abuse. Installation was easy and a perfect fit with the rest of my CH flight controls.
The only problem that I have with the design is that the pedals are too close together. Sure they are perfect for a GA cockpit simulation, but when I tried to build my own cockpit with the joystick between my legs it was a problem.
Regardless, I am happy I got them and now I cannot 'fly' without them... :)

EA games has again taken NFS to a new low.this game is a cheesy ripoff
of NFS most wanted right down to the dialog between the dispatcher and the cops.
The much cheaper pursuit breakers.EA games knew what they were doing by
not putting out a demo of this game.If you are a NFS fan like I am you will
be disappointed.

With Roxio Creator 2009, a new front end menu is added. From this menu you choose the feature you want to use. The left side of the menu lists the main areas:

There is also a Home selection that lists the recent six sub-features used as well as an Online connection. Each item opens a list of categories in the right side panel. It looks nice, but is a little vague, not clear what you are going to do in a category. Between some categories it is not clear what the differences are - for example in Video-Movies there is Create DVDs and Create DVDs Advanced. So...you've taken the nth run-through of Oblivion and are thinking how wonderful it is to play in a sandbox? Black Isle originally perfected this style of gaming many years ago in Fallout.

What made the Fallout games unique were not just its post-apocalyptic setting, but its character creation scheme - called S.P.E.C.I.A.L (Strength, Perception, Endurance, Charisma, Intelligence, Ability and Luck). You get some totally hilarious perks - my favourite is Bloody Mess. I have many fond memories of scoring a critical hit with my sniper rifle and watching my target's head disintegrate in a glorious explosion of blood and gore.

you definitely need to make sure you have ALL OF THE REQUIREMENTS or it is VERY SLOW!!! other than that i liked it.
