Star Trek: The Complete Collection

I have been on a lifelong search through comic stores across the country for Star Trek comic books. Never to purchase, as that would burn a decent hole into my already empty pocket, but simply to glance through the pages and read the stories in a manner so much more different than what I was used to. Comics are fun to read, and they offer a unique vision of a story and its characters. Imagine my surprise when I learned there was a compilation DVD in the works for the Star Trek comic series!

Ubuntu 8.04 DVD

I have a Mac and two Windows based PCs. When the hard drive on the laptop died, Windows died with it because it came loaded on a partition and not with a disc. I took the plunge with Ubuntu. Wow, as soon as it loaded, I was up and running with terrific software all for free. The only thing I still have not figured out is the WiFi so I am stuck with a connection to my router for now. If you need the idiot proof built in solutions to everything then stay with Windows, but if you can follow step by step directions, then go with Ubuntu. Personally, I am a convert. No more frightfully expensive programming for me.

Disney's Magic Artist Deluxe

This software is at my daughter's daycare and she loves this it. It provides a great deal of tools for children to create beautiful pictures and is reasonably priced. It does advertise that it works for Windows, Mac and Linux. This is untrue and only supports Windows. However, I was able to run it under Linux using WINE[...]

I definitely recommend this to any parent who is looking for an inexpensive and creative program for children to make really amazing artwork.

Where in the World Is Carmen Sandiego? Classic

This game is educational and fun. We have a 6yr old boy who loves this. He is learning to put the case together to find Carmen. It, however, does not work on our Windows XP but does work on our MacBook.

It is great set of ubuntu and kubuntu and the library is top notch. I was ubuntu user but since last release, thanks to this set I decided to try kubuntu and liked it. I use ubuntu/kubuntu for two years and those are by far my most loved Linux distros. It is very convenient having it delivered. The shipment from DVDxDVD is super quick (I mean it is unbelievable how fast they do!) and their customer service is superb. I bought from them different releases for many times and they really take care. I pre-ordered this one. This set comes with complete training library for all levels of users! Same as Ubuntu with all the same wireless/sound/endless/wasted time configuring problems with a different color box.

Hail!! OS X & WINDOWS!

Using Linux will make you love Windows and OS X that much more.

Archie Bronze Age Series

Nothing like reading a few issues of archie comics at night to relax after a hard day. These look great on my laptop ... easy to read. I have been a copy fan for over 3 decades but where Marvel and DC can get tiresome at times trying to be "adult", it's nice to visit Riverdale. Can't wait for the others.
