It integrates well with Windows Vista (32 bit). It is virtually transparent. Setup is a breeze.
The re-license is a bit steep though - but it is comparable with the other suites. Seems to me that the re-up should be significantly less that buying the full product off the shelf.

I highly recommend this product.

Norton 360 Version 2.0

After installing Norton 360, I found that all of the data associated with Quicken on my PC was missing. I restored the Quicken information from backup. A few hours later, the Quicken data was gone again. I repeated this cycle a couple more times with the same results. I removed the Norton 360 software and have experienced no problems with Quicken since.

I contacted Norton Customer Support and calmly explained what had transpired. They told me this was not possible and hung up on me. I then e-mailed the company regarding the problem. After a week's worth of trading messages, they referred me to their Live Chat option for advanced support. My PC has a 2.2g duel core intel processor with 2g RAM (any of you folks out there who still has less than 1 g of ram, or still using single core, please, stop complaining abt new softwares slowing down your PC and get real!). I was using NIS 2006 previously on this PC. Recently, the subscription for NIS 2006 ran out so I uninstalled it (which went without a glitch!!!! yes, I just used the normal "do it from the control panel method"!). Then I loaded in NIS 2008. Man! My boot up actually speeded up! I know some of you folks have all kinds of complain but I don't see this at all! Who says this product slow down you PC? I think it only slow down those PC who doesn't have the processing power in the first place.

Paragon Ntfs for MAC Os X

I have a Macbook on which I use a program called VMWare Fusion to run Windows programs like Quicken. The external hard drive that I use to back up my Windows programs did not work for my Mac programs because the Mac did not recognize the NTFS file system on the hard drive. After doing some research, I discovered this product, which enables me to go seamlessly between backing up my Windows and Mac programs on the same hard drive. The program resides in the background, so once you install it, there is nothing further to do.

Although there is a free program called MacFuse that does the same thing as the Paragon product, for my needs it had certain technical quirks, which is why I bought the Paragon product.

This product is very easy to install and configure. While the graphical interface is quite archaic, the functions are well placed and simple to use.

For monitoring the amount of time someone spends on the internet or computer itself, the software excels.

The reason for the 2 star rating is the fact that the company claims to have an effective system for protecting kids on the internet. This is a false claim and I will explain why.

The software claims to have 2 systems in place for disallowing the computer user to surf to smut sites. One of them is general categorical site blocking, the other blocks everything except URLs the administrator manually inputs.

I used Norton on my first computer back in 2000. It was ok. It did its job by protecting my computer from spyware and viruses. However, it did crash my computer once in a while (not good when finishing a report!), and it sometimes made my computer performance slow. When I bought my new computer in 2005, I saw the original Spysweeper (without antivirus) on sale for $5.00, and I decided to give it a try.

I'm so glad I switched. I originally signed up for the one year subscription, and it has done a great job protecting my computer from all kinds of spyware stuff that I didn't know existed. Best of all, it does not crash or slow up my computer. When my one year subscription was up in 2006, the antivirus came out with spysweeper, and it is even better.

Trend Micro Internet Security Pro 2008 3-User [OLD VERSION]

After spending a total of several hours with several different support agents trying unsuccessfully to get Trend Internet Security to work on our new computer, we have given up. It is clear that their support staff is incapable of finding a resolution.

In any case, we are forfeiting the $60 that we paid for the software and the even greater cost in our time as consultans.

We have purchased and installed, without any problems, Norton Internet Security 2009. Our experience with Trend Micro has been frustrating and disappointing.

Kaspersky Internet Security 6.0 [OLD VERSION]

This product is totally invisible while it's working. I haven't noticed any degradation in preformance on my computer like I did with Norton.

My only issue with it is that it is a 3-user license. I installed it on 3 computers, thinking that the 1-year license clock starts independently for each machine. Wrong. Even though I installed it on the third machine a full 3 months after I installed it on the first, the expiration date was the same. All three licenses expire one year after it is installed on the first machine (even though I will only get 9 months of use from it on the thirs machine).
