If you're trying to decide between these 3 digital elph models SD1100, SD770 and SD790 which fall in a similar price range, here's my take. I have used the SD1100 and SD790 extensively and SD770 is like an in-between hybrid.

Common new features:
- Digic III processor = better picture taking
- Face detection - detects multiple faces in a shot and adjusts the flash, white balance so that the faces don't get bleached out and you get less red eye
- Motion detection - focuses on subject even if they're moving so your shot is not blurry.

I usually have a difficult time with cameras, but this camera was very easy to use and the pictures are excellent. I was told about this camera by a friend who also has had excellent results. It only takes a few minutes to get it up and running and the sofware for your computer is easy to use.

Transcend TS8GSDHC6 8GB SDHC card (SD 2.0 SPD Class 6)

The Transcend SDHC card has performed well. No operations issues have arisen. It records good video and sound in the Canon FS-100 in which it is installed. Editing has proceeded smoothly. Good card for the cost.

I wasn't sure how this item was going to be being it was so inexpensive. The picture is not crystal clear, but very decent. I bought this for a birthday gift for my niece on her 12th birthday and she loved it. It is not top quality but a great gift for a young adult. I would hightly recomend this item!

SanDisk 2GB SD Memory Card (SDSDB-2048, Bulk Package)

This card is really good for digital cameras, although it won't store as many pictures on a higher megapixel camera as a higher gig card, however, for lower megapixel cameras this will be more than sufficient for photo storage. My camera (a casio exilim Z700) recognizes it right away and so does my windows XP computer. Usually SanDisk products are of great quality, and I have never had any problems with any of my SanDisk disks. I would recommend it to anyone considering this product.

This is an excellent SDHC card to have, fast and very reliable. I have used Transcend SD cards before and they are very efficient. Never had the problem of losing any data or pictures. FAIR WARNING THOUGH: MAKE SURE YOUR EQUIPMENT SUPPORTS OR IS COMPATIBLE WITH AN SDHC. READ YOUR OWNER'S MANUAL BEFORE SWITCHING TO THIS CARD. If your equipment is ONLY compatible with REGULAR SD (not SDHC), just stick with SD. Otherwise you might find out the hard way like I did. I still gave this card a 5-star because the compatibility issues was my mistake. This was compatible with my newer camera but not the card reader in my laptop and my older cameras.

This is a great Camera, it not only takes great pictures, the movies are just as good. The only thing to keep in mind is the Transcend 4G memory card will not work with older readers...So my advice is to buy a Transcend card reader that costs about $15 and plugs into the computer via a USB port
