This is the best help there is for your bbq.
It will enable you to see the temprature of your meat at all times without opening the lid of your bbq. It will give you a warning when your meat is reaching the desired temprature. And with two probes you can use it for two parts of the meat, e.i. brest and leg of the chicken or two peaces of meat.

Weber 7416 Rapidfire Chimney Starter

For the last few years I've been using a cheap no-name chimney starter that I got from a local store. I didn't think there was any difference between chimneys.

I was wrong. I received it this week and used it yesterday for the first time. This Weber chimney starter is much better than my old one. It has great design features that give it several advantages.
1) It's big. For big grilling jobs I need this.
2) It's fast. It is very well ventilated at the bottom where it needs to be, and also has a few small vent holes up the sides. Also, the cone shaped coal floor is made of strong wires that let the air flow through with little resistance.

It's a good product, but it cook faster than the info tells you to and you do need a propane tank.

It works well, but there are no instructions included, which makes it difficult to give as a gift. Also, couldn't find a description of the difference between the regular and pro models.

I have my guage installed for about 3 mo. now. It worked fine for most of that time, than the problems started. At first it would restrict the gas flow to the grill, to the point where I would only get a tiny flame even when it was turned on high.This was sparatic some times it would work fine. Next I did not get any flame at all, and the guage read empty. I was about to take the tank to be recharged, until I lifted it and it was heavy. I put it on the bathroom scale and sure enough it was way over the empty tank weight. If I fool with the valve,it will start working again.If I knew it was going to be this unreliabe I never would have bought it. I've had the BabyQ for just under two years. Regulator quit working. Called Weber Customer Service after recorded message played I waited about 12 seconds and a real LIVE person was on the line with me and she spoke ENGLISH! Replacement was sent and was received within 7 days.

How come some companies get 'customer service' and others don't have a clue?

Buy Weber, you can't go wrong.

I bought two of these and both are broken. If the cable touches the sides of the grill lid while cooking it will burn the inside of the cable and stop working.

I called for an replacement and was told it would cost as much as a whole new unit.. Thanks but no thanks I have learned from their mistake..
