For the last few years I've been using a cheap no-name chimney starter that I got from a local store. I didn't think there was any difference between chimneys.
I was wrong. I received it this week and used it yesterday for the first time. This Weber chimney starter is much better than my old one. It has great design features that give it several advantages.
1) It's big. For big grilling jobs I need this.
2) It's fast. It is very well ventilated at the bottom where it needs to be, and also has a few small vent holes up the sides. Also, the cone shaped coal floor is made of strong wires that let the air flow through with little resistance.
