This product is not perfect. It is largely plastic, and prone to breakage if you use it as though it is of the old, all-metal construction. In fact, between the time we took delivery on our second unit and my dropping the first at the dump, we had to cannibalize a part from the prior unit. That said, we prefer an electric model, and when used judiciously it will plow through and handle long, thick grass and mulch up leaves, to boot. Just be sure not to run it over hard objects, which one shouldn't do in any case, but the plastic construction really comes clear when you might do so. I purchased this mower at the beginning of summer, 2008, after reading a lot of reviews all around. On the whole, my experience has been very positive. This mower is easy to push---it's just as easy as any other push mower I've ever used. It's low maintenance. You don't have to mess with gas and oil. It isn't noisy, it isn't generating a ton of noxious emissions, it isn't throwing up dust (for those of us who suffer from allergies, this is a big deal).

Honestly it was really annoying for me to sharpen the blades on my mower. I thought it'd be straight forward but apparently I'm pretty retarded when it comes to this mower and not making a mess. =P

Bought mower to help mulch leaves from many trees in yard or fall clean up. Could not believe how well it mulched all my leaves, did not even have to bag them. I live in MN. I highly recommend this mower to anyone whom mulches. Have not tried the bag yet. It mulched so well, did not have to!

I wanted to collect some of my clippings from the reel mower to use as mulch. I had allowed the grass to sit on the lawn. I had been cutting it twice to eliminate missed spots and break down some bigger clippings. This bag doesn't catch everything. You also need to pull back the load and reposition the clippings from the predominate left side every so often. I didn't expect much from this attachment, but it serves my purpose to gather a fair amount of clippings.

I wanted a cordless electric, but it seems that the batteries just aren't reliable enough. I used a gas Toro mulcher for many years and enjoyed its maneuverability, but I wanted to get away from the oil and gas and starting hassles. So, the MM675 was a compromise, and, after using it for two months, I am very happy with it.I mulch every six days at the 2 inch height and used it to mulch the leaves (while they were dry and crispy and not all at once) from a good-size maple tree. It did fine. The flip handle is very useful and helps to keep the cord out of danger. Finally, it is light and easy to push, even one-handed.

We have Empire Zoysia and we installed 29 pallets around a year ago (11,600sq). We have been treating the grass correctly, but we have been mowing the grass with a self-propelled rotary mower. It looks good when its cut, but it does make the lawn look like yellowish color for a couple of days, because it breaks/rips the leaf, leaving it vulnerable for diseases.
We heard from other people to use a reel mower that its very good for zoysia. We purchased the American Lawn Mower about 1 month ago, and let me tell you, we LOVE IT. This is the perfect mower for a very small lawn. It works best on "short-ish" lawns. Longer grass is difficult to cut.

I think the mower is good. I had forgotten that it won't cut close to the edge of the sidewalk well though.Also, I do not think the grass catcher is helpful at all, there is always a gap between the blades and the catcher and a lot of the grass falls through. It cuts well and it's easy to push, that's the plus, along with being "green" which was my goal.
