HP 6988 Deskjet Printer (CB055A#B1H)

Another fine HP printer. I have used a series of these over the years. The 6988 has the wireless function and it is very nice. My son did the set-up on the IBM machines in our house (somewhat more difficult). I did the set-up for my MacBook Pro without even using the CD that is supplied with the printer. This is a quality HP printer and functions quite well on both typewritten and photo pages. My wife and I are quite pleased with it!

I got the printer on Amazon for $49 and free shipping. The cartridge is more expensive than the printer!

I do love the printer and the cartridge is easy to use and easy to install. I love HP printers....but hate their scanners.

I wish HP would lower the cost of their laser cartridges. It is too expensive for even those of us with a little extra money. I might try the refilled cartridges to see if the quality and duration are on par with the HP ones.

D-Link DPH-50U Skype USB Phone Adapter

I had been subscribed another VOIP connection for many years. But its monthly price is equal to a yearly cost of SKYPE, so I decided to switch to SKYPE. Having a D-Link dph-5OU adapter, I was able to use my existing wiring and handset. While installing the software, just don't be panic when you see the installation menu comes out again. The first time is installing the hardware, the second path is to connect the skype. I got pretty confused in the beginning, until I installed it the second time. Installation is really simple. This is a nice all in one but it is very slow about printing and if you have vista don't buy it. I have to reinstall everytime I want to use it and it takes forever to send a print job to it. I also tried to contact customer service or tech help but no answer yet and that was over a week ago so apparently I am on my own.

Brother MFC-465cn Color Inkjet Multi-Function Center with Networking

I bought this printer for its networking capabilities. However I found that configuring this printer for my home network to be a nightmare. After I wasted many hours on the project I just gave up and hooked it up via USB. At least that way it works on ONE of my computers.

I have the DM17CS and I use a standard plastic kitchen garbage bag. I streach the top of the bag around the interior rim of the unit and there is nothing haning outside the shredder.

Panasonic Dect 6.0 Expandable Digital Cordless Phone - 3 Handset System (KX-TG6313S)

I already own a 5.8 ghz 2 handset unit, and have been completely happy with it. No static, no drama. This is why I chose this set for the remaining phone-less rooms in the house. Main plusses include: blinking message indicators, fine sound quality with adjustable volume, speakerphone, small handsets, easily replaceable batteries, programmable voicemail button- with password integration if desired, any key answer and or auto answer on pick-up, and the wonderful muting of the ringer after bedtime.(who hasn't had that drunk wrong number at 3am?) There are a few issues like non illuminated keys, but you just turn on a bedside lamp to dial at night for goodness sake.(wadaya want for 59 bucks?) Bottom line: I feel this is a quality choice at a reasonable price.
