My son got this with the club bongos and this almost gets played more often than the bongos. But it's also been picked up and played by the Grandparents and every kid that has come over to play. So much fun. So durable and has a wonderful sound to it!
The only precaution...little ones like to put the strap around their heads, not advisable!!

Bob McGrath Rhythm Band Set and CD

This rhythm band set was touted as being for toddlers. When it came, the favorite instrument, of course, was the drum. Within 10 minutes of normal use by a 4 year old, the drum head was broken. When I examined it, I saw that it was made of paper. A toddler toy should be made of indestructable materials, not brown paper bag material. This was a birthday present for one of my twin grandsons. He was terribly disappointed, and so am I. I would never recommend this toy to anyone, even though the rest of the instruments were appropriately constructed.

OKAY THIS THING IS EXTRMELY BEAUTIFUL, IVE BEEN PLAYING VIOLIN FOR 7 YEARS NOW, AND SHOULD HAVE KNOWN TO STICK WITHMY ACOUSTIC, I GUESS I GET WHAT I PAID FOR. MY FIRST TIME GETTING IT THE ELECTRONICS DID NOT WORK AT ALL, AND I HAD A PAGEANT SO THAT WAS VERY UPSETTING. THE STRINGS WERE POPPING LEFT TO RIGHT AND THE BRIDGE IS WAY TO BIG, MY ADVICE IF YOU WANT TO GET AN ELECTRIC SOUND TO YOUR VIOLIN, BUY A PICKUP.

I bought this for my six year old daughter, knowing that it was probably a decent guitar body with cheap hardware ( and knowing a little about tweaking guitars helped too ) i got this this for cheap. the reviews are pretty much right on, it has trouble staying in tune and for the last few weeks has been lying in the corner, silent. It sounded really muted and cruddy, like it had tissues stuffed inside of it. Well, I knew eventually i would get around to seeing what can be done for very little money to make this thing sound better. First thing i did was to swap out the tuners with the lowest cost gotoh I could get online, (pretty decent tuner for seventeen bucks) and got rid of the loose floppy apperatus that was supposed to be doing the job ... Take them out and have the kids keep time along with a favorite cd or with a song they are singing. This is a very inexpensive toy and one that can teach a lot. It is also great for Christmas; bring the kids along to carol, and have the smallest kids keep time with the sleigh bells or make up your own percussion accompaniement.

I am a beginner and was looking for a guitar on a tight budget. Wanted to get a decent guitar for a good price. When I bought this set, I wasn't really sure what to expect. But when the package arrived I was pleasantly surprised. The guitar is well built and has a very attractive blue color, body and pick guard.
