Writer/director Andrew Stanton goes boldly where men and women have been longing for Pixar to go: space, the promising frontier. I can just imagine all of the beloved geeks at Pixar scrambling to get their audio/visual reference to their favorite sci-fi novel or flick onto the desktop of this film. Sitting in the theater opening night, we note that when Jim Reekes' infamous Mac start up C chord played as Wall-E recharged, the room broke into cheers and applause.
Reason # 1 to buy Wall-E: Watching this DVD gives allows us to fulfill the geek challenge -- counting the variations on a theme by Straus (Also Sprach Zarathustra) and finding the additional film cross references i.e. Star Wars, 2001, Star Trek, and even One Flew Over the Cuckoo's ... Read More:

While it's amusing enough, and the effects are impeccable, there's little doubt about the age of the intended audience. Every adult in the film is a clueless buffoon or an officious wacko.
Whether apparently flirty bimbos or bookish babes, the girls are the intelligent ones while the "guys" are walking blobs of hormones and machismo.
It's a nice bit of overblown fun even if it can't decide whether to be a serious thriller or a comedic adventure.

My review is on the movie itself, rather than the DVD itself. I borrowed from a friend to watch it, and I was NOT disappointed. While I don't collect Iron Man comic books, I do know of the story. While parts had to be changed for the movie, it was not at all disappointing.
I enjoyed the movie greatly and its characters and story development (and the acting by Robert Downey Jr. was awesome!). Even a die-hard Iron Man fan should not be disappointed in this movie.
My favorite part of the movie was when he flew to the Middle East in his new suit, and dealt with the terrorists while saving the civilians, and then leaving the leader of the terrorists to the villagers to do with what they wanted. Sweet justice, indeed!

In Christopher Nolan's first interpretation of the Caped Crusader, "Batman Begins", he hints at the notion that Batman will always be a controversial or vigilante figure, never fully accepted by society-at-large. In this film, that theme is explored in-depth, as Batman comes face-to-face with his most difficult challenge: stopping a figure, The Joker, who is more like The Bat then Bruce Wayne (or, in turn, the audience) wants to admit.
The central theme of this film, then, has the marvelously insane Joker (played brilliantly by the late Heath Ledger) pitted against our "heroic" Batman. Of course, things are not that black and white. As the movie begins, with Batman leading the police force's effort to crack down on mob crime, this creates a ... Read More:

Horrible way to end the Indiana Jones franchise. This is by far the worse movie in the franchise. I'd rank them from best to worse as 1-Raiders, 2-Last Crusade, 3-Temple of Doom, 4-Crystal Skull.
You'd think Spielberg/Lucas and company would create better films as they got older and more experience. /shrug

I loved this movie that I bought for my grandaughter. I was always a Tinker Bell fan. Her animation and voice were right on. The hair could have looked softer. Anyway - kids loved it, but mostly I did.

Kung Fu Panda is the best Dreamworks film to date. It even rivals Pixar in top notch quality, humor, and re-watch value. Jack Black does a superb job as Po and the other big name actors do a fine job lending their voices to the other characters. An absolute must-see for anybody who's a fan of Kung Fu, Jack Black, Pandas, or just plain humor!
