Carnival: Fun Fair Games (Wii)

I can't believe that anyone could give this game a score over 1, it is terrible, it is basically a load of dreadful mini games which don't work properly with the wii controller, it is boring, there is no fun in this for kids or adults as the games are just hopeless. How this has managed to stay in the top 20 sellers is beyond me.

A lot of people have posted on here slating the game. Yes, its not fantastic, but its not meant to be! Its a way of introducing people to the new controller and how to use it. Yes, it has nothing on wii sports, but it never claims to be anything brilliant.

There are ten mini games. Honestly, you wont play them all over and over again, however if you have young kids they will love the chase game where you play as a cow, its easy to control and play and kids love it. Also the shooting game is quite fun, if you are looking for a mindless game after a busy day at work.

At the end of the day, buy it, but dont expect anything beyond a few mini games! In my opinion, its worth having, and you might find yourself playing it ... Read More:

Mario Kart with Wii Wheel (Wii)

I am hooked to this game. The other reviews go into the nitty gritty, so all i can say is beware of becoming addicted to it. Everytime you see a chink of light when you crack that track which you've been struggling with, or get to 9000K on the wi-fi, or simply unlock Funky Kong makes it all sooo worth it.

The internet racing is the icing on the cake with this, i highly recommend it. Though you may find wi-fi racers are perhaps a lot more vicous and aggressive than racing against the computer - you may reveal a more sly and manipulative drive to win in yourself, who knows... It's all fun though.

This should be as necessary as the wii remote.

In fact why don't you dig a hole in the garden and put a tenner in there, bury it and then sit on top of it and bash yourself about the head with the shovel, because that is by far more fun than this game.

For someone who isn't too into games this has changed my attitude completely.
My other half is really into games and was keen to buy the wii when it came out, having seen the ads I was quite interested in it too- and we were right to be!
I am now an avid game fun, always on the look out for new releases. Having got more into gaming I've now bought a DS too.

Our wii has been played by our grandparents, parents, nieces, cousins, friends...people of every age and interests as you can think of.

Great for groups/couples or solo.

I got this game for my birthday and thought great! I had seen it on the internet and thought it looked fantastic. When I played it I was still thinking this is awesome. You may be thinking why the 3 stars then? Well I played it and completed it in just a few days, less than 8 hours to be precise. During these hours you can use the wii's motion sensitivity quite well but after 3 or 4 levels you're thinking is there ever going to be a differing level? I mean you go to a planet kill the natives and then kill a boss. Then you go back to your ship get a new boss to kill from Lord Vader, go to their planet kill the natives and then kill the boss. I've read the reviews on here and I can only say that people are too easily pleased. I bought this game because it was supposed to use the balance board, but using said peripheral is an exercise in frustration. All the training elements are geared towards the Wii remote and Nunchuk and trying to use the balance board results in trial and error, guesswork, and no little amount of swearing.

It is not acceptable for a game to advertise itself as balance board compatible if the compatibility has been tacked on as a sales exercise with absolutely no development time being given over to it.

Why people are giving the game such glowing reviews in the face of such shoddy marketing is beyond me. All I can think of is that they had extremely low expectations.
