1) The sound from this product is somewhat tinny.
2) Build quality is poor - especially the plastic cd compartment lid and the skewy alignment of speaker grilles.
3) Design is poor - e.g. light from screen backlight leaks out through edges of buttons. Also, layout of button labels is absolutely not thought through - label is halfway between button above and button below so one always needs to think about which button a label applies to. Also the remote controller (no that magnetic pad does not adhere properly to the controller) doesn't allow one to change radio channel!

A tip to Pure: to avoid turning formerly loyal customers such as myself into detractors, lend the prototype to focus-group users before going into production. ... Read More:

I've had this book for a little while, I loved reading the experiments even though I didn't try them. I've put the book aside for my grandchildren, who at 7 and 6 are embryonic 'Blue Peter kids' who are just going to love having a go at the experiments contained within. They don't own a hamster, thankfully and the springer spaniel is probably a bit on the large side for fossilisation.
Weak jokes aside, this book - and the other New Scientist publications - are an absolutely marvellous way of engaging everyone with science. If science was the subject that had you sitting looking out of the window at the back of the class, idly hoping that the teacher would catch their long hair / tie in the Bunsen burner, this is the book that will show you some of the ... I gave had mine for a few months and gave up with it. The low whining noise means it's hard to hear spoken word programmes without turning the volume up loud - not good when you want to drift off to sleep. The alarm is incredibly complicated and set it takes ages - and I needed the manual. In the end, I gave up trying to change the settings to on/ off and accepted I would be woken every week day at 6.30 - even if I wasn't going to work. I then tried the CD version - thinking it might be the IPOD connection causing the noise - but that's even worse! The cd rattles and whirrs as it spins - so again you have to turn it up loud ..... arrived quickly and in good order. I couldnt hear anything at first until i gave it a twist. Not sure if that was the ipod or the cable. Seems to be working fine now. Handy long lead

What a great cable. Perfect Quality. Just the right length as a interconnect from Sky box to my Sony Bravia and from the PS3. These cable also have some flexibility, unlike some of the really expensive monster ones) so are nice and tidy and feed through the bravia cable holder just nicely. And at this price are a bargain. HD Picture is perfect.

We have this for nearly 12 months and have had no problems the alarm is great there are 4 of them great for if you work different shifts, if I have one gripe it is the remote which is great for basic functions but a pain when you want to select a preset, it is great as a bedside radio the sound quality is OK and the bass is a bit thin but what do you expect from a little unit that looks cool in black next to your bed and the iTouch looks cool except for the white docking cradle that you have to use.

I installed mine yesterday, and positioned the arial where shown on the instructions. I then removed the trim and ran the cable out of sight before tucking it neatly behind my dashboard along to the unit. Would it pick up any DAB stations? Nope. I then tried it trailing the arial cable in a sort of 'zig zag mess' across my dash, and it picked up 52 stations in no time at all. Great I thought; I can live with a messy cable right across my dash - just about. I then decided to drive off, thinking all was well at last - wrong. Whilst in motion, the signal cuts out and is, quite frankly, worse than dear old medium wave. My Tom Tom seems to interfere with it, as does my iPod dock - not to mention my rear window demister! bought this album on the streangth of hearing the single ( last track on album ) and I have to say how disapointed I was with the reat of the album, only buy this cd if your a fan of the group themselves

Logitech VX Nano Cordless Laser Mouse for Notebooks

This is easily the best mouse I've used. It is reasonably small; okay for anyone other than for Mr Buckethands. It is also light. The batteries give it a perfect weight. I have had this for a few months and the batteries are still going strong even though I use it for hours everyday.
The software that comes with it gives a lot of functionality. I have tried them and they are good but I am more at home using basic mouse functions. The little thing you stick into the USB socket of the PC is so small it can only be termed a thing! It sticks out about 1/2 cm and does not get damaged if you happen to accidentally give it a knock.
The price seems a lot for a mouse but honestly, you will find it brilliant value for money.
