Aside from the hold button issue which can be avoided by sliding the walkman in whilst holding the back away from inside back of case (the leather front will give a little) this case is well designed and protects the walkman very well. I have used it now almost daily for 6 months in a physical work environment which has subjected the walkman and case to a fair few knocks and bumps and being dropped onto metal floors, I am also an avid EQ fiddler so the case and popper fastener has also been well used. There is no fraying edges to the leather and all leather surfaces still feel soft and haven't worn, all stitching is still intact, nothing has come loose and the popper is still secure and its kept my walkman safe and looking new. i bought this leather case because i own a sony mp4,the logic in my case is i own a good piece of kit why not look after it,as other reviewers have already stated it is a bit pricy but when all is said and done i have no regrets whatever,the old saying you get what you pay for definitley applies here,it looks the part and is totally functional and it keeps your mp in good nick.

i got these free with my NWZ-A800 which was a nice surprise. Was planning on selling them straight away until i plugged them in to see what they re like. They look really good and feel solid as all sony stuff does (really recomend NWz-A800 btw).
Docking unit is great but can only skip for/back and volume not thats ok. its charges which is great.
now the sound...
for bassy dance music stuff theyre really good for speaker that size (though think would suffer in a big room) not as good as a hi-fi but theyre coming to uni with me (hifi to big).
however just been playing some lighter pop stuff (vampire weekend if you want to know) and they didnt sound great even at mid-volume.

this adaptor is the real deal,as stated in other reviews there are plenty of clones out there,my advice is avoid them like the plague this beauty does exactly what it says on the box.

Brought this to charge our daughter's Sony walkmansSony NWZA816B 4GB video walkman MP3 it was a pain as we have three of them to have them charging them via usb on computer. This works really well and even though there is three of them they manage easily with just the one charger. We have been using it now for at least 3 months and still works great. I think it was much cheaper than other alternatives. If you have purchased a sony walkman you really can't be without it.

The first case split while I was trying to fit my Sony player (lesson learnt - insert your player through the screen hole, not the slit at the bottom that I tried to use). Like other people i mainly bought this item for my Walkman NWZ-A818 but it has worked on other gadgets powered by USB such as my desk fan and I can also recharge my camera. I bought this as you only get a cable to charge by a USB port from your computer, the best thing about this adapter is that I can use my Walkman whilst it is charging which couldn't be done whilst charging VIA computer, great little product, if you have anything that powers or recharges by USB such as cameras, MP3 players or mobile phones then i'd recommend this for you!

I have an a Sony A818 and am extremely pleased with it's performance. The earphones that come with it are very good and the sound quality is excellent. I am currently however looking to buy another MP3 player (iPod or Creative) as Sony does not support Audible book files. This is very frustrating as I'm very happy with the A818 but I'm also keen to subscribe and listen to Audible files. So be aware Sony does not look like it intends to support Audible files anytime soon, if this is important to you don't buy a Sony, get a Creative.

What is there to say about a mains charger? Well - it works for one thing, which is more than a cheap alternative I purchased did! It's quite a bulky unit in comparison to the device it's charging and should have been included with the Walkman in the first place. That said, the stubby USB cable fits the box and does the job. The fact that it's short doesn't seem a problem to me. I'm pleased to see that the mains cable has the same connection to the charger as the ones used by the chargers for my camera batteries, so only one mains lead to take on holiday.
I can't fault it so it has the 5 star rating from me.
