Sony PlayStation 3 Console (60GB Premium Version)

Had my Playstation 3 from another company had a couple years warranty just in case anything happened to it.

It broke down 13 months after i had first bought the console and after looking at numerous forums i knew that the hard drive had gone down and i would have to stump up £160 to get it mended so i am glad i did have that extra 2 years warranty

So i would have to give people a nudge in the way that if you can have an extra couple of years warranty on it i would do so

MotorStorm (PS3)

MotorStorm is one of the first games I played on the Playstation 3 and really liked it but then it became Repetative & Annoying.

What I mean by this is that it gradually starts putting you off playing it when you only have 8 tracks available to race on even though you get to try these tracks with every vehicle type so that ranges difficulty.

The annoying factor however is that the computer AI racers seem to just piss you off when you get further into the game - now I know that I'm up to Level 4 races and the game's moto was 'Brutal Off-Road Racing' so it's gonna be tough but it becomes too brutal to play, you'll just get angry with it.

FIFA 08 (PS3)

This is by far the best football game I have ever played. The gameplay is good because if you get a good team that work together well you can score loads of goals. The only bad things are that the keepers are very inconsintent and sometimes you make a firm but fare challenge and you get a yellow card for it.
Gameplay-very good
stadium atmosphere-good
game modes-pretty good
Overall it is a very good football game.

This is an excellent game. Slick, addictive, and has bundles of long term game play. Buy it! Buy it now!! (But don't pay nearly a thousand pounds as it's currently priced at.... Whoops!)

Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 (PS3)

I have been playing Pro Evolution Soccer games since the first one came out for Playstation 2 some years ago and have been buying the updated games yearly up until Pro Evo 5. So when the new edition for the PS3 was released I couldn't wait as finally I was looking forward to playing it online most of all and was my main reason for buying it.

Firstly though to the single player game: My initial reaction is somewhat disappointed as I feel that the gameplay feels slowly and not as crisp and exciting as the PS2 versions. The are very additions as compared to FIFA 08 which has much more depth and challenges. But for the time being I can cope with these niggles as it was the online features I was mostly concerned about.

Don't waste time or money if your looking for 1080p.

Replaced with a £15 cable from Dixons, works a treat.

Assassin's Creed (PS3)

Assassin's Creed passed me by during its initial release, which was odd considering I have an interest in the Crusades and the Medieval period. When I did get to learn about it I avoided it because of the fairly negative reviews. Eventually my cousin got a hold of the game, and I felt impressed enough by the small demonstration that I brought a copy too.
While I certainly enjoyed the game, I do understand that the game's detractors do make a valid criticism of its gameplay.

Gran Turismo 5 Prologue (PS3)

I got this game with my PS3 40GB, and I thought it was astonishing. The graphics were really good, the cars were fast(after you unlocked them), the tracks were numerous, good looking, and fun. It was a big jump from my PS2 Pro Street. However; after a while, the cars started to look a bit plasticky, and when the cars crashed into a wall or another car, they didn't break, but stayed exactly the same. I thought this for thirty pounds was good, but I thought that the PS3 had more potential. I tried a few other racing games, such as Race Driver Grid, and they were awesome. The graphics looked better, and more realistic in Grid, and really crashed when I crashed.
