I personally love the shrek films and was excited to hear there was a third one coming out. Although when i first watched it i got bored quickly and lost interest but after watching it again i seem to like it more and more. It has plenty of humour and you may not like a character but sometimes you have to look past that. For those who are dragging it through the mud...give it a second chance

We have a selection of books by this author, but if I had a £1 for time I've had to read this to my little girl then I would be very well off! It's quirky and fun to read, has excellent illustration and language use as well as a good moral to the story. The kids adore it. We adore it. Be warned: if you get this book, expect to be reading it night after night for a very long time!

The Snail and the Whale

My 2 year old son and I adore this book. He requests it nightly, choosen from 2 huge shelves of books, with a smile from mummy as I don't tire of it either! The illustrations are beautifully drawn, accompanying the story perfectly. The tale rhymes nicely, although if read too quickly becomes a bit of a tongue twister which makes us both laugh. This book was originally recommended to me by a friend, and is now passed on enthusiastically to others. I would recommend the board book to even the youngest of children as the illustrations are lovely, with lots of things to point out and look for. We are just about to invest in our second copy as the original is looking a bit old and battered now! Enjoy!

I was interested in buying this and saw one out for demonstration, so i thought i'd test it out before i bought it. Lucky i did! I thought of a racoon and began the game. It began promising, asking sensible questions, then went totally off the point. It never got it in 20 questions and only got it on the 25 question, which i felt was a bit of a cheat. I tried again with something simple, but this time, it never got it. I was glad when the words "you win" came up on the screen and it turned itself off, probably because it was embarrassed! At that point, i had to leave, which i felt glad to do, and was very glad i tried it before i bought it. Crayola Minikids Mess Free Magic Painting Set

My 3 year old girl got that as a present and she was initially thrilled with the novelty of it. The colour doesn't run so it's "mess free" colourwise but as the paste in the pots is grease, everything gets greasy. The sponges also need regular wash as my daughter used the same sponge for all the colours and later pictures ended all orangy..It's a nice novel idea, but a greasy one too, so I'm not very impressed. Also my daughter stopped using it as soon as the novelty weaned...4 stars for the novelty of it...Crayola keep trying...

In the Night Garden (Little Library): Little Library (In the Night Garden)

I bought these for my two year old who is a recent In The Night Garden fan. They are fantastic. Admittedly the box arrived a bit worse for wear (I am in Australia) but it still holds the books when it needs to. My daughter carries the books everywhere. Stops, sits down to read them, waves them around in one hand, lines them up to count to 6 or turns them over to complete the puzzle on the back. For a few dollars she has had hours of fun already. Highly recommend!

High School Musical

High School Musical is being talked about by teenager's everywhere, so I was determined to see what it was like. I asked someone I knew (who is obsessed with it) If I could borrow their copy of the soundtrack - And now I wish I hadn't. For staters the actual music is just over-used up beat dance tracks. With some weak mordern R and B thrown in. The things kicks of with a song entitled "Start of Something New". The song is merely just a badly written, horribly sang pop song. The vocals are very poor, there are signs of lack of emotion (in all the tracks). The second one, which is more of an R and B tune, is well irritating. Tomy Thomas & Friends Bath Island

My boys love this toy. They have had loads of fun over the last couple of years getting Thomas to slide down the ramp and pouring water over the water wheel. It's their favourite bath toy.
We haven't had problems with it sticking, but it can slide as it's quite heavy. If the water isn't too deep it's fine.

Room on the Broom

This has been one of our little boy's favourite few books for about a year now. He's just over 2 and 1/2 now and there is no sign of him tiring of it yet. Just wonderful.
