Nintendo Wii Classic Controller (Wii)

So I was around a friends house and I saw he had one of these snazzy controllers and I had had a bad experience with the unofficial wii gamecube controller clones (the cables are *really* short*...) so I thought I'd get one of these babies.

So I've just received my order and fired up my copy of Resident Evil 1 ready for some thrills and spills and to my absolute dismay it does not work with Gamecube games.

Now this I hardly believe is a technical problem I think Nintendo engineered it NOT to work because you'd get all the great cheap gamecube games and play them and not as many Wii games.

Thankfully I've got a few controllers ordered off of Ebay so it's not a total wash out but I am really disappointed ... Read More:

What a waste of money. it does no more than the wii system memory itself. It's a scam, and a pointless piece of plastic. I bought it because I thought I could run games off it, but I was mistaken. It can only store the game data, not run them. I suppose it could be good if you have lots of high-quality photo pictures (but who does that anyway?), and storing the games as a back up copy could prove useful if your Wii breaks down, but I bought the Wii on release day, and it hasn't failed me since. The data size of the games are miniscule, so it won't save you any money or time putting them on the SD card. Datel Wii Lan Adapter (Ninetendo Wii)

£30 for USB WiFi or £10 for cabled version so a no-brainer. I was caught out by the free patch cable as I assumed it would be an extension cable (i.e. LAN connection one end and USB the other), but it wasn't (it has a LAN connection both ends). As my LAN lead reaches to within 5 feet of the Wii but my computer doesn't I have had to use a USB extension cable as well. My setup is therefore:

Wii <--> USB extension <--> Wii LAN adapter <--> Router

With the USB extension I managed to get it working, but only after several attempts. As a suggestion, follow these basic steps to get connected:

- turn off Wii
- turn off modem / router
- attach Wii LAN adapter to Wii (via USB extension if necessary)

A lot of people have posted on here slating the game. Yes, its not fantastic, but its not meant to be! Its a way of introducing people to the new controller and how to use it. Yes, it has nothing on wii sports, but it never claims to be anything brilliant.

There are ten mini games. Honestly, you wont play them all over and over again, however if you have young kids they will love the chase game where you play as a cow, its easy to control and play and kids love it. Also the shooting game is quite fun, if you are looking for a mindless game after a busy day at work.

At the end of the day, buy it, but dont expect anything beyond a few mini games! In my opinion, its worth having, and you might find yourself playing it on the odd occasion, ... Read More:

Remote Charging Stand (Wii)

Like many others, we have found that not only do our remotes no longer hold charge from the rechargables, but also suck power from standard batteries and are now very temperamental even with standard batteries.

My advise is that the £60 to replace your remotes is not worth the risk of using this product.

USB Access Point (Nintendo DS & Wii)

When I moved to university for my third year I was disappointed to discover I no longer had the ability to wifi as the router of the house I am sharing is set to the WPA security setting. So it was a relief after suffering through a few weeks of wifi withdrawal symptoms (:|) to find out about this baby! It works well on the whole, only occassionally yielding an error message on the game I use it with (Animal Crossing: Wild World) but then I just try again and it usually works; the worst I've had to resort to was a computer restart. Ignore looking up the error codes - they're usually nonsense.
Since I don't really know of any alternatives in my situation I'd have to recommend it if you want to keep your router on the WPA setting (which is more secure than the ... Read More:

Link's Crossbow Training (inc. Wii Zapper) (Wii)

The game is good, it is basically a target practice game, where you try and score as many points as possible. Some of the targets are stationary, some move slightly and others are moving enemies. My favourite level involves Link (you) flowing down a river, trying to shoot enemies and targets, it looks good and is a fun level. If anyone has played Twilight Princess they will recognise the locations and enemies.

The problem with the game is that it is too short. You can easily complete it in one sitting and be left there thinking.....is that it?
Yes, you can go back and try to better your score, but it would have been better if there were more levels or it was a bit more difficult.

Mario Kart with Wii Wheel (Wii)

so i have had Mario Kart for over... i duno just before summer, It starts out as just cool game, easy to get the hang of, just start on the low levels and work onto the hardest. There are 32 tracks? i think then you have all of them in reverse when you get to a certain level. then you have bikes or cars to choose from. loads of weapons! When you get to playing on it with friends its great, can make enemies for the bad loosers out there but hey its great fun winning. Then you start playing online! and god thats the best thing that you could for this game, the online is AMAZING! yeh sometimes you get smashed by the stupidly good people that play but its just so much more fun playing for points for your mii. and if a friend is over you can play 2 player online aswell, face fernando ...
