The New One For All SV9365 Indoor Amplified 46dB Aluminium Freeview/DAB Aerial

Bought daughter a new Samsung flat screen TV. As she lives in London, we tested it at home and it worked really well plugged into the Digital roof aerial. Took it down to her house and set it up. She has 2 aerial points. The first did nothing, the second only recieved channel ITV(3). Big problem. Bought the One for All and immediatly the set downloaded 80 stations with the gain set to maximum. It works perfectly in a downstairs room. What a good buy. Place it as high as possible, extend the power supply cable if neccessary.

I bought this portable dab radio for use whilst walking and cycling, ie for outside pursuits.So I can only vouch for the performance of this device as my main use was as above. The clarity and reception of dab radio is superb with no crackling or hiss from normal FM radio, how ever this radio does not like concrete ie subways and the like. Indoors can be a problem as there can be a problem with reception as the ear phone is the aerial , this wasn`t a dissapointment as this radio is portable and in my eyes designed for out door use which suits my needs perfectly. In short I can`t understand all the negative reviews in relation to reception etc I live in London so reception is not a problem. I would recommend this device to any one using it for ... Read More:

A class of it's own,people go on about The Soprano's etc,but this is actually close to home,alcoholic,gambling chancer,except i don't work with the police! An all time great!

MAGIC WAND AMPLIFIED TV AERIAL

In view of the mixed good/bad reviews of this product, I can say that for the money involved it is a good buy - particularly if you intend to use it in, for example. a campervan where it is small enough to stow in the glove compartment. BUT DO NOT MESS WITH THE AERIAL because the soldered connections at the base are rubbish and come apart so easily - hence the 'bad' reviews. IN21 service was excellent.

Pure One DAB/FM Portable Radio - Black

I bought this DAB radio over 2 years ago on the strength of a favourable review in Which? magazine. I got it to use in work where the reception on traditional FM radios was notoriously poor, but this DAB radio picks up far more stations than I ever listen to, and the results were so impressive that two of my colleagues went straight out and bought the same radio. All three of them are still going strong despite some rough treatment and constant daily use.
The radio provides a good clear sound with plenty of volume for a small unit. It's easy to use with all of the controls handily placed in the same area at the front of the radio rather than spread across the sides and top. A Bloody Good Winner: Life as a Professional Gambler

The merit of this book for me was that it does make the point that, if you are going to be a fulltime gambler, you are in it for the big bucks, not the small cheeses, unlke (as Nevison points out) some other professional backers, who are content to make something like £20K a year, albeit taxfree. Nevison wants more like £200K+ if not far more! And, if he is to be believed, he gets it! That alone, if so, makes his book worth reading. The downside is the abrasive Yorkshire knowall element, which slightly (more than slightly) put my teeth on edge. And his lifestyle around and off the course, seems to be the polar opposite of mine, but then I am not an ex-City of London trader turned honest gambler!

I find the August USB Tv receiver fantastic! It's a nice gadget at an attractive price. It works perfectly fine on my IBM. The set up was very simple following the instruction. The blazevideo software is easy to use and the interface looks cool with a bundle of different features!
I use the supplied aerial since I don't have a rooftop aerial. I assume the freeview signal where I live will be good as I am living in London zone 2. Given the price is cheap I thought it is worth a go.
It came up about 52 channels on the EPG list included 8 or 9 radio channels. I am very glad as it has most of the channels I like: ITV1-3 Sky sports news, E4+1, Sky Three, Five, Five US BBC1, BBC2, BBC3 BBC news 24,Sky news 24, and some shopping channels etc. It has more ... Read More:

Windows Vista for Dummies (For Dummies)

I received this as a gift from my other half when I bought a new laptop, which came with Windows Vista pre-installed. There's nothing much to complain about. The chapters are structured in a sensible way, and I find Andy Rathbone's tone really appropriate to the needs of the 'Dummies' series (I mean this as a compliment rather than a criticism). My only real criticism is that I don't think Windows Vista is half as far detached from XP as a lot of people try to insist. This isn't to say that the existence of this book is unnecessary, just that a lot of the material herein will be already known to a lot of those of us who used XP extensively.
