Don't bother buying this item! I just did, and, instead of 24 crayons in a nice round container as pictured, I received (very late) three cardboard packets of crayons. Not a nice present for a two-year-old.

Crayola Beginnings First Markers (8 Pack)

These pens are fantastic. My little boy is 2 and he has no trouble with these. We gave up on crayons and pencils as all he wanted to do was chew on them when teething but he has never tried that with these. The tips are pads and not actually pen nibs which means when he stabs onto paper it causes no damage unlike nibbed pens where the nib would disappear inside. The best thing of all though - superwashable. It doesnt matter how much he gets on his hands or other surfaces, this ink wipes off very easily using baby wipes or just soap and water. I tried a supermarkets own brand of these and regretted it as struggled to wash the ink from his hands. He can get lids off easily and they provide hours of fun for him and easy for us to join in and teach ... Read More:

Crayola Minikids Mess Free Magic Painting Set

My 3 year old girl got that as a present and she was initially thrilled with the novelty of it. The colour doesn't run so it's "mess free" colourwise but as the paste in the pots is grease, everything gets greasy. The sponges also need regular wash as my daughter used the same sponge for all the colours and later pictures ended all orangy..It's a nice novel idea, but a greasy one too, so I'm not very impressed. Also my daughter stopped using it as soon as the novelty weaned...4 stars for the novelty of it...Crayola keep trying...

Crayola Beginnings 3 Washable Finger Paints

I don't like this paint as it gives very little coverage, even on white paper. Had hoped to do hand prints etc but the yellow is useless and the other two colours not much better. Will go back to old fashioned watercolours I think. Would not recommend this paint to anyone.

This product is spot on! Great value, great quality and lots of fun. The plastic case seems to be quite durable and the pens click into place easily. The colours are brilliant and when you first open the case it definitely gives you the wow-factor seeing all the colours neatly laid out. We'd already had a few of these twistables but when I saw this neat collection I just couldn't resist it. Unlike ordinary crayons, which can easily break into smaller pieces, these twistable crayons last for a very long time, especially if you carefully put them back in the carry-case after each use.
