Although FM reception is good, I found AM very poor - lots of noise and virtually no reception when product is held upright. Tape quality is good as expected. Controls are fiddly - too few buttons. Battery life good, especially considering only takes 1 X AA. Design of battery compartment poor though - after using for about 18 months, broke after dropping a couple of feet, rendering it virtually unusable. Would not buy this product again.

Sennheiser PX100 Headphones

This is the first review I've written and am doing so to warn people about a recurring problem I've had with PX100s and PX200s. I've just got a refund for my fourth pair of entry level sennheiser tins, all of which lost sound in one phone due to cable wear. Despite this I keep coming back for more as they're good for the price and they seem to fail consistently within the warrenty period so I've only paid once:) If you can be bothered to keep requesting replacements from amazon/sennheiser then I'd recommend as a buy! As other reviews no doubt mention they leak a lot of sound so don't buy if you like to blast your choons but don't want to annoy fellow commuters. Bought these for use with a portable DVD player. No problems whatsoever with the sound quality nor 'comfort' level (I always feel if you have comfort issues with earphones you probably have them jammed too hard in your ears. I just place them in gently and they're fine). The only drawback for me is the length of the cable, which could be a bit more generous. Probably fine for use with a walkman/ipod but for what I bought them for, it kind of restricts the distance you can sit from the screen. I did notice before buying that a couple of other reviewers had mentioned this but foolishly I ignored them - now I'll probably have to buy some longer-cabled phones. So, I recommend them but only for use with portable music devices.

This was much better than I thought it would be having read that the story didn't hold together and wasn't based on any real fact. If it was intended as a love story then it's ok. Are biographical films ever based truly on reality? Julie Walters is excellent as Jane's mother and thanks to another reviewer for mentioning where I'd seen Anne Hathaway before.

I'm not keen on Jane Austen's novels (forced to read them at school), except perhaps, "Northanger Abbey", for which the recent TV adaptation was excellent. "Becoming Jane" has more depth than was portrayed in the poor cinema trailer. It's not as good as say, "Miss Potter" but worth a watch on a rainy Sunday evening.
