This was bought for my son's 3rd birthday and it is absolutely perfect! It is very sturdy and he has no problems riding it. The sound effect buttons are also really great. Definately a great buy for active little boys who love Thomas!!

Yes you have to assemble it, but it's not hard, you don't really need tools... just make sure you do the plastic ties round the front plate right.

I was a bit disappointed that the wheels were solid rubber when it first came, but on reflection, I understand why - they are very durable, you'd have to deliberately want to break them in order to.

My littl'un bezzes around on it all over the place and it's in perfect nick after months of rough play.

Thomas & Friends Trike

Only chose this trike because of it being Thomas the Tank engine but it is good value for money. It was pretty easy to assemble (Only need my husband to help get the last wheel on). Our son loves it and with the parent handle it means he doesnt have to peddle himself all the time. The only downside is that the wheels can be quite noisy on concrete and the parent pole wobbles a little bit which helps with steering but can be a bit annoying at times.
We have since done a fair few miles with it with no problems other than our son turning the handle where he wants to go.

Tomy Thomas & Friends Bath Island

My boys love this toy. They have had loads of fun over the last couple of years getting Thomas to slide down the ramp and pouring water over the water wheel. It's their favourite bath toy.
We haven't had problems with it sticking, but it can slide as it's quite heavy. If the water isn't too deep it's fine.

Thomas The Tank Engine - The Great Discovery [2008]

Having been subjected to the whole 8 series keeping the little ones occupied I was curious to see how this would work with a new voice and clearly american take on the tales.

Well the addition of Pierce Brosnan's voice as the narrator is a great choice and the story and songs kept my 23 month old captivated and happy for several hours. The songs are a change and he jiggles around to them with glee. The extras keep him entertained as well.

This makes a great gift to any thomas fan.

VTech Thomas & Friends - Learn & Explore Laptop

My mum bought this for my son's 4th birthday and it has not been put down! He loves it, it is simple to use and he can do most of the games alone. He is learning and having fun at the same time. It is small enough to take in the car and on holiday (which we will be doing) The mouse is easy to use and it is a good introduction to computers for pre-schoolers. The only thing I can find that is a problem is that it doesn't use phonics which is what the children are being taught at school.

Aliens Love Underpants!

My little boy got given this book for CHristmas last year and loves it so much that I could probably quote it all the way through, I've read it so often. Okay, there's not a strong story but what do you expect for a cartoon book for pre-schoolers? The rhymes are cute and the pictures are great - we love it, and so do all the kids at nursery!

Roary the Racing Car - Remote Control Roary

My 4 year old son bought this car with his birthday money.
It works intermittently, and when it does (as previous reviews have noted) it drives very slowly and has a huge turning circle.
Ultimately, it is little more than a static plastic replica of Rory, so not worth paying more than a fiver for!
