BFG 9500GT 1GB DDR2 PCI-E Graphics Card

This card fried my motherboard. It overclocked the bios and the PC had no video out (even with the old card replaced) and refused to completely boot up. I had to spend £600 buying a new base unit.

I bought this card for my wife's HP Pesario SG3200. It has its own build in graphics adapter but was definitely not enough for some few games installed for my kids.
This card has upgraded enormously the graphics quality on those games not just in smoothness but also in detail. I can now use the full 1440x900 in most games without slowing them down.
This card also let's us watch HD movies if you have a build in BD or HD-DVD player. Its DVI output lets you use a DVI to HDMI converter to watch them on our LCD TV in High Definition.

My work PC has onboard graphics but I wanted to run two monitors. This was one of the cheapest PCI-Express card could find. Was easy to install and setup. I am now using 2 * LCD 19" 1440*900 resolution monitors, one DVI one VGA. I have not tested its performance ability (do not think the boss would like me trying a game) but for dual monitor no complaints.

Didn't receive the standard version but got the modified Sapphire with the boosted cooling fan so a real added bonus and one I certainly didn't expect.
Though this did cause a few issues when fitting due to space, but with a little modifying of the CPU cooling case (Dell Dimension) it slipped in with ease. Everything you could possibly want for gaming, frame rate in World of Warcraft is now a constant 40fps with all settings at max, with my old card it was around 10fps.
The card requires it's own power (does not get it from the mother board like the older graphic cards) so you'll need a 6-pin connection, thankfully with the retail version you get a few adaptors for this purpose.
