Good service from Amazon as usual, and indeed, there lies the problem. Amazon send you the latest version, not old stock of the card, which is great... but, the latest version has a remote control (a black one, with RC 6 on the back), and a black IR Blaster/Receiver.

Both the remote and the blaster/receiver are NOT compatible with Windows XP SP2 or XP Media Centre Edition 2005.

They work perfectly with Vista, and is certified Vista Compaitble (32bit) and the remote works 100% on Linux, and more specifically MythTV using Lirc.

To remedy this if you contact hauppage and let them know that you have bought this kit and find that it has a black controller, and that you use XP/MCE, they will offer to replace ... Read More:
