When i bought these, i bout some nice expensive rechargeable batteries. I'm so glad i did that...I've had to buy some more to go with it as well. The sound is incredible, but if you want to take these outside with one set of batteries, i wouldn't go far. If you like it loud (75% +), then you will love them at first...after 40 minutes the quality starts failing and at an hour it will turn off.remember they take 6 batteries at a time. They are definitely still worth it though.

WOWEEE!!!!!
It's like Christmas has come early.
I orderd them only yesterday and they arrived this morning at 8.30 all shiny and new.
Took me about five minutes to unpack and plug into my Mac.
Then I woke the rest of my house up!!!!!!!!!!!!
They are AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'M NOW PLAYING MY MUSIC NICE AND LOUD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was really hopeful about these when I placed my order - and I wasn't disappointed either.

I had read all the reviews and these looked to be amazing for the price. I got mine for £50 on Amazon and was blown away with the power. They are a little bigger than perhaps they give the impression so I have them on the smallest of a nest of tables next to my iMac.

Unless you want your neighbours to hate you and set the noise abatement society on you, I think these will do most people!!

If you compare the prices of some other branded portable speakers these represent good value for money. I thought the previous review somewhat unfair but agree they are not suitable for in car use. I use them with both my MP3 player (Samsung T10) and my Pinnacle Soundbridge internet radio and the volume level and sound quality is more than adequate without using the battery powered amplifier section. Philips offer a passive (non-amplified) version the SBP1100/00 that look the same so presumably sound the same and are even cheaper!

I've owned this phone for a couple of weeks now. It is both better and worse than I expected. It is nicely compact and thus very portable. The volume controls on the phone bypass controls on the computer, making one take the phone from one's ear in order to make adjustments rather than being able to make adjustments on the computer itself. And the volume controls on the phone are not as sensitive as they should be, nor do they provide an adequate range, in my opinion. Sometimes it is difficult to hear others when using this as a flip phone. I like the phone and think the build and quality are almost there, almost where they should be.
