When the speakers arrived i didn't think they where going to be very good, merely because of the size. However i was wrong, very wrong infect!
the satalite speakers may be small but they produce amazing sound from high to low pitchs at any volume.
where to start with the sub...its got as good as or even better quality as my old phillips speakers.
the volume of the speakers is also a thing i should mention...i've not been able to get the volume ova half because of people complaining. which just shows there potential.
one thing that is not mentioned in the product description is the blue light circles the surround the volume and bass controll, the light also pulsate to beat of the music yourt listening to.

My Logitech Extrusio speakers finally died after seven years of service, and being currently very cash constrained I couldn't go past £25 for new speakers. I decided to take a chance on these rather than a Labtec set costing £5 more mainly because these have nearly twice the max RMS output (40W rather than 25W), are nearly twice as heavy, so I assumed the bass would be significantly better. On receipt, my first impression was how small the bass unit was, and I knew that it couldn't possibly reach very low frequencies (you need physical space for that). At least it had a bit of weight which is necessary to transmit the bass outwards.

Only buy this if you want something really small & convenient & can put up with tinny sound and the vibrating metal back.
I bought this speaker with my first ever ipod as a package, & I loved the look of it as it came out of the packaging, but I have been bitterly disappointed ever since! It certainly does nothing for the quality of the i pod and I get better sound repro from my cheap Currys speakers which were a fifth of the price.

For a 5.1 set this is quite cheap and taking that into consideration you actually get a good deal. Personally these are my first surround sound speakers so I've got nothing to compare them to. Although before I had a set of JVC stereo speakers that created a decent sound and these are slightly better than that.

A few complaints would be that you really need to tweak the drivers on your sound card to get an optimal sound.

Nevertheless they are good value and add an extra dimension to any game or film you happen to be enjoying.

When you first get these out of the box you will be ASTONISHED at the size of the sub and satellites. These things are beastly.

When i first connected them up and heard them I honestly thought what the hell is wrong with them! They are connected to a PC by USB: When your computer CPU is under strain, the USB functions are affected as well. Thus, when listening to music and when your computer CPU is doing something strenuous, your speakers will suffer (crackly noise or intermittent playback).

Another thing, if they are connected to your PC by USB, they WILL NOT BE USING your soundcard. Thus, those that have good quality soundcards like a soundblaster X-Fi, will not actually be using it if you connect by USB.

Fantastic value at the price. These speakers produce good low and mid range noise. The treble comes out slightly high, but this can always be tweaked in winamp or similar.

Contrary to above, I think the speakers look nice!
The sub is nice and solid looking, and the whole package is of very high quality.

If I'd paid £50 for these I still would have been happy.

Highly recommended

The docking station is very compact and folds flat easily. Since purchasing it I have brought it with me on holidays in order to enjoy my own ipod music. The speakers are surprising good for their size. Overall an impressive product.

I've had one of these for nearly 18 months, during which I've dropped it several times (could do with a handle / recess in the back for lugging about perhaps? or maybe ishould be more careful. But it's still in one piece and works a treat. It's been used daily with my ipod and plugged in to my laptop for watching films and no quibbles at all. Ideal for anyone with limited space or who wants something (reasonably) portable. Sound quality is very good, with decent bass.
