MFC Canon Pixma MP140 printer scanner

It does excatly what it says on the label....

This printer will not win any design awards, and it's not the quietest for sure, but it's simple to use, there are single touch buttons for all the main functions , it's cheap, it prints, it scans and it copies.

You want more? How about a big name like Canon? I dont think you can ask for much more at this price?

HP ScanJet 2400/EN 1200dpi USB A4

This is the second HP scanjet 2400 I've had. The problem with this one is the same as the first one. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt. It either blank scans or up pops the error message saying that something isnt connected when it is. Rebooting or powering up and down sometimes solves the problem. When it doesnt reinstalling the software sometimes does. The real problem is it's a cheapo. So dont waste your money buy a better flatbed.

This is an excellent printer! Good, sharp printing in both text and graphics. Easy to install with Windows XP, though a problem with Vista (get the drivers from the HP web site and manually install - don't use the HP installation program!). Even with XP a problem was encountered, caused by the existence of software for the HPLJ 1160 this printer was replacing; it occasionally simply refused to print; removing the old software and drivers and reinstalling the new resolved this problem.
The toner usage is frugal making this equipment a cheap to run, robust printer, and print speed is excellent though a little short of the claimed speed.

Compact and robust and straightforward to use. These are the plus points. When I installed on my Windows XP SP2 laptop all went well, until the point where it said "restart your computer". I couldn't - the whole system had frozen! Clicking the Start button (to power-off / restart) had no effect; CTRL+ALT+DEL had no effect; trying to switch off the laptop had no effect - the system had completely hung. Unplugged at the mains and the computer went into battery mode. Unlucky one-off, or a common problem with this software? Took a break and system worked fine (with scanner installed) on restart. Based on previous reviews did not install SilverFast software. After a couple of passes of some old (1990's) transparencies using just the scanner software ... Read More:

This simple to use device allowed me to retrieve trouble code P0560 from a 2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser diesel. You can also clear the codes if you wish and verify the VIN. First check your car handbook / manual that it is OBD II compliant. If it is this will work. The application list covers the following:

I bought this printer a couple of weeks ago, with some ink (ink was pricey, hence 4 stars).

So far it has been great, it prints really quickly, although I only use it for lecture slides at the moment, have yet to print anything too colourful as I don't have the right paper for doing so!

Hasn't thrown up any faults or anything, and the scanner is pretty good, done a few photo scans with it and they seem to come out well.

Not bad value, there also seem to be plenty of features on it that I haven't got round to using yet!

For the casual user, I'm sure it's perfectly good enough, I think a lot of bad reviews come from people trying to use a fairly low budget printer industrially, which they aren't designed ... Read More:
