I replaced my Tom Tom 300 Go with the Garmin Nuvi 350T which has now irritated me so much I have already replaced it with a Tom Tom 530T. The Nuvi 350T forces you to accept a safety message each time you start it, then it doesn't look for satellites until after you have typed in the destination on a non-qwerty keyboard, swapping back and forth to a separate numeral keyboard as necessary, and then is slow to lock on. It gives verbal lane and roundabout exit information too late for safety, uses feet and not yards, does not change volume with speed, and doesn't show your actual speed or the distance to destination. Its display is not as clear as the Tom Tom and it doesn't show a diagram of the next junction on the main display. The sound is ... Read More:

The first charge is always slow, but I expected subseqent charges to be faster, especially with a wall socket like this.
Archos say their own wall charger/docking station takes 3-5 hours to charge from empty.
This Nomadic one can be left running for hours and hours and still no full charge! It feels like USB in a plug bascially (maybe the way it transforms the power?)
I DO like the universal heads, so a good, small charger for when your on holiday, but expect to keep it charging through the night!

Ok that's not true, I can see the M54 and the A41; oh and you get a good outline of the Country but no detail. The unit itself seems quite well built but the manual starts at the wrong end i.e. it tells you how to use it before it tells you how to set it up. So far I'm pretty disappointed given the great reviews I've read, I was expecting more in the basic package; I did not know that I would have to put my hand in my pocket again to buy even a basic map of the UK. I suggest anyone thinking of buying the 76Csx or any other Garmin product looks at the reviews of the UK TOPO maps. I still might send this back to the seller!

When it came to the time to renew my contract, I decided to step away from the bog-standard 'free with contract' phones and treat myself to something a little better. I researched carefully and narrowed my choice down to this, the MDA Vario II, or the Nokia N95.
I chose the Vario for the full keyboard, reasoning that it would be easier to text and type, and signed my new contract.
What a mistake. I'd unwittingly tied myself down to twelve months of mishaps, breakdowns and frustration. While the phone does exactly what it says in the paperwork, and is great to pay with for an hour or two. Day to day life with it is fraught with problems.
The slide keyboard is good, lots of well-sized buttons with upper case, ... Read More:

Bought this in conjunction with the 2610 from Amazon and found it very easy to install into the bikes wiring loom. I did have a problem with the audio plug which had a loose connector but got round this by hard wiring the sound into my bikes intercom. Bear in mind you will also need a bracket of some description to mount the GPS holder to your bike. In all a decent bit of kit but I have dropped it a couple of stars due to the dodgy sound connector.
