I was really looking forward to trying out these speakers as I had read some really good reviews about them, So I decided to borrow some to see what they were like.
I really liked the design and how sturdy they felt, the mid range sound and upper levels are crisp with good sound definition, but the bass was just awful. The speaker cabinet is plastic which is exactly how it sounded, it overpowers the good bits and just ruins what is a well designed sound system.
I suppose I am just being over critical but the best way I can decribe it is that they are just good pc speakers and nothing more, but to be fair that is what they are.... pc speakers.
My advice is get a good 2:1 system with separate sub woofer.

These speakers are fantastic sound quality and have a tremendous, I just found that they were not quite small enough and the thick cables make it difficult to move around and put into certain positions.

I debated for ages about whether to buy a digital SLR (such as the EOS 400d) or a 'bridge' camera such as this one. After reading many reviews and asking myself what I really wanted a camera for - I opted for the FZ18. I've had the camera for about 2 months and so far I am delighted with it! The menu system is straightforward to navigate (I've never used a Lumix before) and the range of manual settings is vast if you like to 'tinker.' The instruction book is clear and provides hints and tips for getting the best shots from each creative mode. The camera feels solid, looks stylish and is pretty responsive. Its a great product.. dont waste huge amounts on other sub woofers.. highly recomended. GO for it.

I was looking for some speakers for my desk which could provide a richer sound and also fill the room when I'm not sat at the desk. I'd been recommended the Logitech x-230 speakers and heard them for myself. I'd also seen the scores of rave reviews for them here on Amazon but I wondered if there might be a later model which improves on that design. A review I found on the net said that the Z4 speakers were slightly better and more detailed than the x-230 so decided to check them out. I've always been prejudiced against 2.1 systems with little satellite speakers expecting them to always sound harsh but having read all the rave reviews on here I decided it was worth the gamble especially when I found them at a bargain price. I have just got these speakers to use with my laptop when i take it to uni. I decided to go for PC type speakers rather than taking my hifi with me to uni, and it turns out that these speakers are better quality than my hifi. They sound amazing, very clear, no noise or distortion to the sound. It has a good range from the high notes which are clean and crisp to the bass which, although it doesnt have a Sub, still sounds great. I would highly recommned this product for anyone who wants great quality music and general use!

Believe all the other reviews these speakers are amazing.I'm 55 years old and have listened to my music through countless different systems and this set leaves all before in the shade.It took me longer to unpack them than it did to set them up.Turned them on sat back and then wow--blown away by the most incredible reproduction of original sound I have ever heard.Don't hesitate to buy them.In my opinion there are no other speakers on the market that come anywhere close to these beauties.
They are the best purchase I have ever made.

I bought these for use with my Sony Bravia Tv and they are superb. Perfect for an average sized room. BTW, they are available of a well known computer manufacturer for £46 until October......

Logitech OEM S220 2.1 Speaker Black

Bought these speakers on impulse, based purely on the low price and because I wanted a sub-woofer for the computer in the study.
VERDICT?
Well they do supply bass so I can't complain there, but to be honest the sound quality is not the best.
Turn the volume up on the PC and the speakers struggle.
The woofer has no on/off switch so power is constantly on (not very energy efficient) and becasue of this it constantly hums when not in use (unless of course you turn it off at the mains)
On they plus side, the black shiny speakers look nice.
Just a pity they don't actually sound as good as they look.
