You'll find this under a fiver in a lot of game shops bargain bins (and as a used item here) and in terms of value, that is excellent.

This is a huge, immersive, atmospheric and very playable FPS. You'll keep cpming back again to again to its massive levels with a psychotic and determined gleam in your eye. In fact, you'll have to keep coming back again and again, as the most frustrating aspect of this is the lack of humane 'save' features. You may be inches from end of level victory, take a bullet in your broad manly chest, and then it's back to the start.
But this did not desrve the critical panning rceeived. Doom 3 allowed me save wherever I was, but I'm enjoying Turok more.

Well I didn't have a N64 so I can only comment on the XboX game. I thought the game was really fun, completely different from anything I had played before.

The story line is great. Basicaly the king (a panther) needs a prop for his stool which has one broken leg. For this task he focuses his effort on capturing Conker (you, the squirrel) as he is the perfect height for the stool; that way he can place his glass of milk on the stool without spilling it. As you can see it is a crazy story line but with some great humour.

There are loads of games within the game which you have to solve in order to progress. It takes a bit of thinking about and I must admit, I had to read a walk through to get past some of the scenes because it was ... Read More:

i think that the fact that this game was styled as a comic is a brilliant original idea.
the gameplay itself is fun, not to hard and a good choice of weapons.
the ending is fantastic and the game is best to play as if you're reading a book: play 1 chapter, then the next day play another.
i like how the game shows that the bad guys have no mercy and the beginning shows that a hot bikini dressed woman who finds a man who cant remember anything about his previous life can be a good samaritan. and a babe.

Street Fighter

This Street Fighter package contains three things of niceness. Street Fighter Anniversary, a game that has been doing the rounds at the arcades, Street Fighter 3 3rd Strike a game that hasn't been on a home console aside from Segas Dreamcast and the Street Fighter 2 animated movie.
The Anniversary game is the first five Street Fighter 2 games combined. The character you select can be primitive or as advanced as you like. Early versions of characters have less, and different, moves but to compensate there hits take off more energy. The one player game can feel a little weird as a result, as you can beat your opponent while knowing that you're not fighting as well as you should. The sound is pathetic, the graphics a bit garish but ... Read More:

This game has dated graphics, and there isn't much freedom. It may be fast but that isn't a good thing as it is basaically the game controlling itself, you would be better off watching a film. Storyline? There is'nt one! And all levels are as boring and frustrating as hell, don't waste money on this, it is'nt worth it.

I was so disappointed after having read the other reviews.

There is a real lack of atmosphere in this game. In the reviews it was compared to Halo! There IS NO such comparison to be made. The gameplay is very limited, the pace exceptionally slow, the graphics, and sound are lacking for an XBOX title and look more like early PC 3D titles (think Voodoo 2) certainly not up to usual glossy standards. In fact, glossy is a word that in no way applies to this game.

Missions are dull (imagine GoldenEye missions but without any real storyline/continuation or character/s)... again no atmosphere. If you do buy the game, you will feel nothing.

Additionally the controls take a lot of patience, promise a lot of interaction and actually deliver very little.

All in ... Read More:

I simply had to write a review of this game as it is quite simply perfect. As im sure your aware this game came out some time ago and it's graphics still put pretty much every racing game to shame. I dont know about you but one thing which really bugs me with most racing games is while the graphics on the car's body are fantastic the wheels are pretty much every time 2D looking whereas in rsc2 there so 3D it adds immensely to the feel of the game, this may sound odd but it has to be seen to be believed. On a slightly more sane note the amount of tracks is superb and for a change the makers have injected some much needed glamour into this racing game with fantastic locations like monte-carlo, the most classic of all rally events ignored by almost every racing game to date.....untill now......buy ... I bought this game preowned about a year after it's release and man am I glad I did. I hadn't been that impressed with the previous Indiana game (The Infernal Machine for the PC) because he could not fight unarmed, something which he does a lot more than shooting! Also the puzzles were a little too frustrating.

However I got this for my ancient and beloved PS2 and was hooked from the word go. The only complaint is that the graphics are not that good (near N64 in places) but the gameplay will distract you from that. This time he can fight unarmed, which is what I did a majority of the time and a nice little touch is that if Indy takes so many beatings at once his hat falls off but doesn't fade away leaving you to pick it up! The puzzles, although hard thinking at times, are not so frustrating you feel like ... Read More:

Thief: Deadly Shadows (Xbox)

In Thief:deadly shadows you play a thief called garret who has a mechanical eye and a voice like snake plissken. It is your task to unravel a conspiracy in a nameless city whilst stealing everything you can see to buy more thief tools. most of the time you're in a medieval city but you wander off onto ships full of zombies, the odd manor and underground ruins.

I always rate a game on how immersive it is when I stop playing and in the case of thief:deadly shadows I started to wear hoods, crouched in the shadows and looked for elemental arrows in my garden. This makes up for the certain flaws the game has because I got stuck on the scenery several times whilst playing and sometimes you would see a NPC walk through a bit of a wall. The mother of all flaws is in the south quarter where if you climb up to the prison ... Read More:
