I would never have gone out and bought this game. It's just not a genre that has ever really appealed to me.
Burnout Dominator was bought for me by chance and it has quickly become one of my favorite games of all time. There's loads of different types of game, all of which are great fun in their own unique ways, my favorite being Maniac mode, where you quite simply have to drive like a nutcase!
The speed of the game really gets the adrenaline going, and whilst the game is a challenge, the learning curve is perfect and it's almost impossible to get frustrated with it.
It must also be said that it is an outstanding showcase of the graphical power of the PSP.

This is a great game and the first I got for the PSP. I was hooked but it is really difficult to do anything successfully. The controls are exactly the same as the PS2 SSX games so I had a headstart there but it is really easy to get the hang of. It is really difficult but when youo do win it just makes it even sweeter! A must have for all PSP owners.

Castlevania: DXC is a game which hates its players with a passion. The difficulty curve could take down a 747, some of the monsters are just designed to screw you over with no mercy, you're sent way back to the start of the level if you run out of continues on any of the vast array of near-impossible bosses and to top it all off you have to UNLOCK Symphony of the Night. Advertising something on the back of the box and then secret having you unlock it via a secret level just isn't a good way to win your players over.
On the bright side, DXC doesn't suffer from the plague of re-used graphics which the DS games do, also the artwork doesn't look as if it was drawn by a 12-year old (more than you can say for Dawn of Sorrow).

There are a few reviews on here that cover this game well, see the one below for example. However, and I have found this to be quite an issue when I was first deciding on a new handheld system, there are an awful lot of lies about the PSP by DS fanboys.
What you need to know is that this is a remake of the PSOne classic that never made it to Europe and had many people either importing or using other means to get hold of the game. I personally hold this as the best tactical RPG ever, even above the mighty Disgaea, Shining Force 2 and Front Mission 3. The story is rich and dark and heavily revolves around the theme of class systems, what makes the story so good is that it is a Japanese take on European culture and history which makes for something both unique ... Possibly one of the most striking titles available for the PSP, 'Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth' is a fascinating game for the more serious gamer. Not for action fans, this is an immeasurably detailed experience and you have to endure a good hour of cut scenes before getting involved yourself. But the battle system is easy to pick up and there is plenty for the old grey matter to chew over during play.
The premise of the game is to reap fallen souls for the on-going battle against the Vanir in Misgard and train them in combat. To do this, you must enter the dungeons and clear them of adversaries, completing tasks as you go. At the end of a chapter, it's a good idea to send an einherjar to Misgard or the battle will begin to turn against you. The graphics, though basic in places, are ... Read More:

I know a lot of people have reviewed this game with relatively low marks, which I am struggling to understand why. Yes there is no free roam, but the career mode is excellent. I think the graphics on NFS Carbon for the PSP were better, but the game play is certainly more challenging. It took me about four weeks to complete this game, whereas I'd completed Carbon in under a week.
If you're looking for free roam and easy game play then this isn't the game for you. If you're looking for excellent game play that's a real challenge then go and buy it!!

I brought this game with the GIGA pack when i first brought one and i was delighted. The gameplay is userfriendly and has the "pick up and play" performance that makes the PSP so brilliant. The unlockables are perfect from England 1966 to the EURO SUPERTEAM. The game is challenging and you feel a real sense of pleasure when you complete the game. Even when the game is completed you can still do so many more things such as beat your records and invent your own challenges throught the replayable tournaments The only downside to the game, for people who like the statistical side of the game, is that it is hard to access what you have and haven't actually achieved. You have to look through team by team to see if anyone remains unlocked but this doesn't take away from the authenticity of the game. Read More:
