Seriously, Soulstorm just isn't worth paying anything extra for really.
For a lot of people there's been on big problem, and that's that the game won't install as it won't register in some peoples DVD ROMs, maybe that's down to the DVDROMs, but it still seems stupid as Dark Crusade (also DVD ROM only) works just fine. Other ideas have been down to copy protection. Either way, it's not really acceptable. So I've had to play my friends copy on his computer.
Another thing is this game was rushed, simple as that, whether this has anything to do with Dawn of War II is another matter but so many little details and finishes have been missed in this one and this is one thing that can let a game down big time, almost makes ... Read More:

First and foremost, advertising this game as Vista compatible is a bit of a stretch. It may be possible to get it working if you are pretty tech-savvy and prepared to mess around for ages, but it's certainly not out-of-the-box compatible. I'm yet to succeed.
I did however, play it on XP before I "upgraded" to Vista, and this game is a real treat. Unbelievably atmospheric, pretty scary in places and about the most freeform shooter out there right now. It's not particularly fast-paced but if you enjoy a shooter with a bit more than endless corridors and constant blasting, you'll love this game.
Expansive playing areas, meaty real-world guns, mission structure (rather than on-a-rail levels) all make this a cut above the majority ... Read More:

I fully agree with a previous reviewer. The game get harder as you progress. Lot's of annoying impediments to your main task. But is it perhaps the boredom factor creeping in. It seem's to throw everything at you in the first 2 missions and then it's the same again, but more frustrating. Unlike games like MoH, CoD, NOLF, etc where each episode is in a different environment AC puts you in exactly the same environment with identical NPC's, and identical tasks.
Buy it cheap and be prepared for only a limited amount of enjoyment.
Graphically it is excellent. But the gameplay is really repetitve.

Some people were disappointed with the release of NWN2. They said the camera was dodgy, (which in all respects it was) that the plot wasn't original enough, (it wasn't very original, but it was still well written and had some very memorable characters and moments) and that the gameplay seemed to be slow (well, it is a strategic game, it's not going to be Duke Nukem). I loved Neverwinter nights 2 despite the fact it had a couple of flaws, and when Mask of the Betrayer was released, I grabbed it as fast as I could. And who could blame me? Motb is one of the best examples of what an expansion pack should be. The environments are different from the original game ,(so there won't be any problems with being bored from the areas that you're in like in the original game)the ... Read More:
or 4... At least I think that's how long I spent playing Diablo II in every spare moment I could find, I'm not sure, I kinda lost track of time for a bit.
The concept behind making Diablo II so popular is ridiculously simple. Make an engine that can generate nearly infinite numbers of uniquely different magical items and people will play until the end of time trying to obtain a sword or a suit of armour that's just that little bit better than what you already have.
The stories and cut scenes that drive the game forward and link the various Acts are superbly done and contribute in some way to dispelling the "nothing but a clickfest" label that the Diablo games have been cast as.
Many spells and abilities are only available at level 30 ... Read More:
ive been playing Diablo for years but the Expansion (especially on patch 1.11b) is incredible. It blows your mind away. With the two new character classes-druid and assassin- and hundreds of new items, this addictive game is a great play and can keep you going for hours.

Having played other games by creator Jonathan Boakes, I was looking forward to playing The Lost Crown. I was not disappointed.
The good - What makes Boakes' games special is the beautiful attention to detail. The locations in the game, many of them actual places on the Cornish coast, are stunning. As always, the sound effects are awesome and help create a sinister mood throughout. The story is compelling and mysterious and I preferred having a character to move around/interact with than the 1st person vantage point in Darkfall (although, that was more scary). Good fun gadgets to play with and spooky characters kept me entertained for hours.
The Bad - moving from place to place is a little tiresome - no 'jump- straight-to' function such as a map. Dialogue ... Read More:

I was looking forward with great anticipation to this game and whilst I was slightly disappointed as there are a few let-downs, it can be immensely fun to play.
There are 36 events in total, possibly the greatest number ever featured in an Olympics game, ranging from the good old track and field events such as the 100m and Javelin, to others of a more complicated/difficult nature such as 10m Platform Diving, the Canoe-Kayak-Slalom and Table Tennis.
The graphics are beautifully detailed for the most part, although antialiasing (smoothing to prevent jagged texture edges) seems to have been missed out somewhere along the line. However, that aside, there is a great amount of detail and the animations of the athletes and officials in particular really capture the atmosphere ... Read More:
