Actually the game-play is pretty simple. The Strogg [soulless fusions of decaying flesh, bone and metal, twisted evil by centuries of war ..etc..etc..] have finally arrived at earth, intent on harvesting the human population and turning us into them [rancid Borg style]. Naturally resistance isn't futile and the Earth armies have unified into the GDF (Global Defence Force). You can fight on either side and have an arsenal of weapons at your disposal, and of course the Stroggie ones have a pretty equal equivalent in the GDF forces: e.g. the Strogg Cyclops offers similar destructive power to the GDF's Titan tank [and both are destroyed by similar tactics/weaponry]. You can play as soldier (heavy weapons grunt), medic (yeah right), field ops (reconnaissance), ... Read More:

I got this for gears of war and assassins' creed, works brilliantly, I even got the wireless xbox headset to go with it. If you like gaming with controllers instead of keyboard and mouse you cannot go wrong with this.

Despite this game now being old, every PC owner should play this game pure and simple.
Created by well-known Games designer Peter Molyneux, head of Lionhead studios, famous for other innovative titles such as Black and White, or The movies.
Now for those of you that don't know, Molyneux said some pretty drastic things during press conferences. He claimed plants would be growing I real time that there would be rival NPCS to name a few, the games sales suffered greatly due to this. But of course, on the old Xbox his was just a dram, an unrealistic goal. Fable for the PC is a port, from the console, so obviously it going to have the same flaws.
The graphics are stunning, I'm going to say that right away, I had to buy a new graphics ... Read More:

Firstly, a lot of people are moaning about Windows Vista but Vista has no problems for myself. The only 1 peice of hardware that I own which doesn't work on Vista is a K-World DVB-T tv tuner. Vista runs very smoothly even under load.
Secondly, Halo 2 is very much a slightly better looking Halo except the gameplay is slightly worse. This game suffers the same as Halo, its overhyped by Xbox users because they're not used to such "high end" graphics. PC Gamers will find this game okay looking, even when new. Same with Halo, it was an okay looking game but both are very plain with little detail.
There's no replay value, it's very linear, the storyline is very good
Multiplayer is better than singleplayer but still, there are better games out there and have ... Read More:

To celebrate the anniversary EA offered up the 1995 CnC for free download. This kind of compilation would be great in a half-price sale, then you'd only be paying for the add-ons that you might have missed.
Anyone who has bought, played and kept all the old games from the past, this compilation's pointless, and brand new PC owners might want to just buy a combined CnC 3 with Kane's Wrath add-on and start from there. Hearing from other reviews that Tiberian Sun's just as buggy as it was before is another personal minus, I'll stick with my retail copy from back then. However with Red Alert 3 on its way fairly soon, EA can re-issue this one every so often and it might eventually become more worthwhile.

It is well worth the money as it has several toggle two way switches, other buttons and a hat-switch (8-way). Plus it has a good dual throttle function. It has a light-up missile switch and this joystick is incredibly easy to programme and install. It has a military design and is a perfect shape and is very light-weight. Now the 'BUT...'
The reason it is cheap is because it has cheap plastic so if you are looking for amazing materials look further up the price range. On the other hand this joystick still works fabulously. The missile switch is a bit gimmicky and the buttons are slightly flimsy and cheap looking but for this price the joystick is a bargain.
Problems i had: The 'universal' attachable wrist rest is very difficult to attach because the screws provided are not the ... Read More:

I cant fault this game other than for one thing. Graphically it's not up there with Crysis or COD4..but what it lacks in graphics (which are still awesome) it makes up in diverse gameplay.
That said, onto the 1 fault. Ranks and unlocks. Slow is not the word for it. Most casual gamers will NEVER unlock everything in the game (after nearly 3 years of casual playing I still have a few guns to unlock). However, you shouldnt let this put you off. You can pick up ANY fallen soldiers kit if needs be..but more often than not you'll find yourself racing around in a vehical or dog fighting in a jet. I can honestly say the only class thats really desperate for its unlocks is the sniper..and it dosnt take very long at all to get those first 2 unlocks. to check your ranks and unlocks requires visting a website ... My son (11) and I play Supreme Commander a lot, particularly in network mode both in cooperation and competition. This set has both the original Supreme Commander game and the new add-on Forged Alliance. As mentioned above the graphics in Supreme Commander are a bit bland as mostly you are zoomed out in low-res map mode, with your units as just flags. However in the Forged Alliance add-on, the graphics get a boot up in quality and you do see far better droid detail and explosion graphics ... unless you are zoomed out and all the units are flags again. Terrain detail looks a bit more interesting in a Luna landscape sort of way (different to Supreme Commander at least). The game menu and control layout has changed a lot, but all the old commands are in there somewhere.
