at the present moment, in my house, i have, a PS2, two 360's, and a ps3. If someone said to me, you can have my psone, i would take it! it has some of the best games ever!! for example, my personal favourite, hogs of war!!!!!! it was IMMENSE and i remember paying £25 for it!! i first got a psone when i was 8 or 9 yrs old, back in the 90's, possibly early 2000's, actually, mustve been 2001, cus it was the smaller version!, but i prefer this model easily!

this sole is where everyones PS3 and PS2 gets their roots! it has one of the best game anthologys eve, second to the n64!! and for the asking proce of 10-15 quid, its great!! the first games i had were a Motorcross one, and HP philosiphers stone, which even today i think is the ... Read More:

Colin McRae Rally (Mac/DVD)

This Mac version of Colin McRae Rally was announced, uh, almost 2 years ago. I need not say more in that regard: simply not good enough. But then the new "Colin McRae: Dirt" for PCs has a minimum spec of 3 GHz Pentium, and that would be bad news for me.
A few fine race games have been brought to the Mac platform, and I love 4x4 Evolution 2 and Ford Racing 2. Both I have returned to again and again and they are still going strong. They are SPEED pure and simple, dizzying jumps and landscapes whizzing by. Lovely intoxicating stuff. And I never can resist going for the record again or discovering which is the faster car.
Colin McRae has been very popular on other platforms, and I have longed for it.

For the single-player there's neither beginning nor end, nor any possibily af saving that I can find. Sitting alone, on your own, there's a lack of story and continuation. Not at all like Quake 4 or Doom 3 or Prey.

But the rest of it is amazing. Graphics on my 2.66 GHz iMac are wonderfully detailed and fast even on wilder resolutions, and seem very close to consols; settings are enormous and extremely well made, very beautiful and real-looking. I am quite impressed that the iMac can handle these open colourful landscapes, not to mention all that is going on. James Bond: The World Is Not Enough (N64)

The cartridge has not been taken out of my console since i bought this on a whim. What a game. Not just shooting but genuine strategy. A brilliant mix of mindless violence when you go back to the simple levels and caution and strategy on the harder levels. The multiplayer is probably the best feature. Get this one set up on the widescreen and see the rapt attention on four faces as you attempt to kill each other. 2v2 team mode has shouts of co-ordination accross the room. Worthe every one of the five stars.

Die Hard Trilogy

I first played this at my cousin's house back in 1998. I was still a Saturn person, whereas everyone else had a Playstation. What I remember about this game is running around a office in a vest and the following-

'Ho ho ho I gotta machieve gun!' 'It's McClaine!'

I bought this game for £1.25 off ebay, and, ignoring outdated graphics, I can see why it's a classic. Three games in 1- 1 action platform, 1 shoot em' up, and one driving game (that at the time, there was nothing like that on any otehr console).

One of the best games on the Playstation and PC for the 90s!

Tenchu: Stealth Assassins

Despite being a huge admirer of the fourth Tomb Raider game this still remains to be my faveourite PS1 game. Its wonderfull gameplay, original use of stealth and tactics, and its emphasis on patient exploring and atmosphere put it above most other similar games. Add to that a wonderful feeling for the magical, sinister and mystical world of medieval Japan and you have a great package which has not dated, and has not been tarnished by its rather disapointing sequals. It's rare that a video game should have such a haunting and emotionally tense effect on me. The music is often lovely and the sound effects have a strange unearthly feel to them which only adds to the suspense! One I will keep playing.

Star Wars: Rogue Squadron (N64)

People say that star wars games always fail, i agree.........mostly. This is as playable as the x wing/tie fighter original games but better. Easy controls ,4 spaceships and another 3 to unlock, massivley varying levels and exciting enemies all wrap up to make a near perfect game. And, once you've completed it you can get loads of cheats which make it even more fun to play! The graphics are hardly up to date but the game was made almost 5 years ago. This is no lucas arts wash out that relies on the name to sell. This is the best star wars game on the market. If only someone would make a revamped online playable version for ps2.

All star wars fans would be mad not to buy this game!

Resident Evil 2 (PS)

The very best sequels are those that take everything good from their predecessors and expand upon it. Happily, RE2 does exactly that.

Noticeably larger than RE, RE2 moves from a post-apocalyptic suburb to a deserted police station, a sewer system and a laboratory. The puzzles are back, as are the trademark, shuffling zombies (along with new, deadlier enemies). The weapon count is also dramatically increased (which, I would say, was the one flaw with RE). Another significant addition is the extra scenarios for each character, which can be accessed once the main games have been completed.

Quake II (N64)

wow, i havn't had such a sensation of gameplay since i played jomes bond golden eye!
The game features very good graphics, and still surprising even today, the gameplay although similar is just what some one needs to satisfy boredom. The enemys and some of the weapons are regenerated into quake 4, but it's great to see there original desighn!
The game is more complicated then doom 1-2, not only by its improved graphics, but it's small primary and secondary missions and objectives make it a fun game to play!
There are alsorts of physics like dynamic lighting, location damage on enemys and walls, and real impact that engages you more tham any other game made at that time.
It's fun and very satisfying...a real bargin for one of the worlds most famous vidoe games!
