Oh man this game gives me such a buzz!! It truely is the best game I've ever played. It takes the user right into the thick of 100% pure WWII action. The music is brilliant, the levels are brilliant (with our hero negotiating some of WWII's most notorious battles - D-Day, Market Garden, Nijmegen etc.) and it just makes you wish you were there as part of it all. Some have accused this game of being too linear but the sheer excitement of the gameplay and the plots within the levels (along with the excellently designed UI) more than make up for this.
It's not hard to see why it's one of the best selling computer games of all time.
I've played it waaaaay too much!

well i love dthe first one but the second has progressed alott more, fixing many problems, the story line is more gripping the graphics and smoother, the levels are more diverse and now you have co-op not to forget the weapons, they make the game so much more fun, dramatic, and violent, this game was suprising from the very beggining and i mean, the very beggining as in the intro fmv. and the levels afterwards were just awesom i wotn spoil too muhc but.... swinging london! and loadsa beatles lookalikes haha, just get it, its so fun and will keep you hooked on violence and the awesom story line

terrible, terrible. do not buy this if you are expecting it to be like crash 2 and three. its dreadful!you just spend every level fighting to get into monster bodies. there is no goal or fun in this at all.

Lara Croft Tomb Raider: Legend (PS2)

First off an admission: I'm not an old TR fan. I only started gaming after the PS2 came out. It took me a while to warm up to the idea of playing Lara, and my first experience, AoD, was disappointing, and I never finished the game. Still, I heard good things about Legend, and thought I'd give it a try. It was smoother and the controls were easier to manage, but I was distracted by other things and let it lie around for a while. When Anniversary appeared and everyone raved about it, I gave that a go. Anniversary was, needless to say, very challenging (at least for me), but when I finished it I went back to Legend to take advantage of my momentum. So Anniversary is the only game I can compare Legend to.

I really like this game because you get to give to give your characters cool colours & buy really cool cars. The races are reasonably easy & the levels are very good.

Unfortunately I have had a problem with the controllers resuling in the necessity to return the game to Amazon. Seems that there was a problem with the wiring. The disc worked.
Sent it back to Amazon on 3rd Jan and Amazon acknowledged receipt of it 11 Jan but the replacement is not to be despatched until beginning of February, despite 18 in stock. Would have been better for me to have asked for my money back and re-ordered.
So so far not so good, but looking forward to playing it when/if we get it.

First of all, be patient. The game gradually gets better. The storyline is strange but it is a very beautiful game. You might want to play Lenneth first to understand some of the story in Silmeria.

The battle system and the puzzle are all about the angle and observation. Therefore, you really need to think about the strategy to play this game successfully.

Some of the reviews talking about the battle system are boring and no changes during the course of the game to the end. I don't know why you say that but I think you are probably not a big fan in combos and mashing the buttons to win the battles. I truly think you will struggle against some of the end game bosses. The Godfather (PS2)

First of I think that its unfair to compare this game to a GTA:SA, mainly as The Godfather that game was released 2 full years after the former, but also because in my opinion no game copying the style of GTA will ever live up to its standards (with the possible exception of Saints Row), and this game is no exception. So for that reason I will judge it on its own merits.

The story line is well the godfather but instead of established characters from the film there is a new custom designed one. You do have a fair amount of customisation, you can include scars however I was a little disappointed by the fact that there are only about 5 hairstyles, 5 hair colours, 5 ears etc, and a very limited amount our outfits! Superb!!! Buy this is it is fun, stylish, cool, graphicly sexy to the eye and is well worth the money.

I got one with no manual and it is easy to follow. So don't be put off by used games without instructions.

If you get bored many cheats are on line and you can access them easily via the Gnome cheat to get some great fun filled hours aout of Urbing around.

Fantastic as the 9th Doctor would say!

Ace Combat: The Belkan War (PS2)

I've been an AC fan for years and this is another cracker.

It's set a few years before the last two games, although you'll hardly notice and is very similar to its predecessor Squadron Leader. More of the same really.

The graphics are top notch as is the sound effects and musical score. It has the usual corny story line but it is such a joy to play.

For the un-initiated, you fly jets and blast air and ground targets, undertaking missions along a progressive but fantasy storyline. You can buy aircraft and special weapons with the credits you earn completing missions. The game is not particularly difficult once you get the hang of the handling and some missions offer a choice of what to do.
