Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped

And so with great success coming from the widely adventure Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes back, comes another platform Playstation 1 game, Crash Bandicoot 3! And yes, like Crash Bandicoot 2, I was determined to get Crash Bandicoot 3 when it was released!

I've completed Crash Bandicoot 3 many times before and when I got back from our holiday in September 2006; I thought I better start on Crash Bandicoot 3 since I completed Crash Bandicoot 2 in August! Now unlike the other two games, Crash Bandicoot 3 took me longer to complete, I thought it will only last me for 2 weeks, but it took me until Christmas 2006 to get the game done! But alas, I enjoyed every step of the way and I had a few laughs or two!

Tekken 5 (PS2)

Ignore the review below. He is obviously not playing it properly. I have played all the soul blade/calibur games, some dead or alive and all tekken. The fighting system of tekken is vastly superior to the other two. Neither has the depth of tekken. If you play it properly you can learn how to block even the most complex of combos. Go back to Tekken 1, learn the basics and work from there, then you'll see how complex and skillfull it is.

Ace Combat Squadron Leader (PS2)

The graphics are great but this game is spoiled by the very restrictive time limits and kills that you have to achieve, if you fail you are sent back to start all over again..and again ..and again. (yawn)

OK. Two days after getting this game I've finally solved the problem. This it after all an amazing game. But what it lacks is a cheats option to allow non-serious gamers like myself to blast through the whole game quickly without spending too much of our free time. The solution I found is simple: I bought the Xploder cheat cd for £10 from Amazon. It arrived today, and now I can run this game (and other ps games) with full ammo and in God mode with any plane). Tekken 4 (PS2)

Tekken 3 has that special something - the character balancing, feel, move combo and skill levels that make it a great game. Tekken 4 doesn't.

On its own merits it is an adequate game, but feels wrong. There is little of the sense of challenge in fighting through the characters and little to put itself the rest of the genre.

Buzz! Pop Quiz - Solus (PS2)

What a disappointment!
Having played the Big Quiz and Hollywood versions of Buzz I was expecting a polished and enjoyable party game. Unfortunately after just a few games and an awful lot of grumbling and head-scratching from all involved the disc went back in the case where it is destined to stay.
There are two serious flaws with this game. The first is that except for a very small number of exceptions none of the music is the original recording...and some of the versions are just terrible! On a number of occasions all four competitors sat around looking at each other wondering what on earth the song was meant to be - even when we had just four options to choose from! It really is that bad.

Despite what Namco developers say, there really hasn't been much improvement made in the Tekken system since Tekken 3. While newer installments have better graphics and more characters, the third perfected the form that two helped define. Notice how I fail to mention the stepping stone of the original? That's because its awful to look at, awful to play, awful to think about and awful to bring up in the bedroom or at a funeral. None of the newest characters are as interesting, popular or fun to play as Hwoarang, Xiaoyu or Jin Kazama were back in the day. Both options for the music are excellent, the endings are great, the game is funny as hell and the story is the best in years. Tekken 3 really excels in contemporising the series. I got this game today after saving up and i LUV IT!! I have already beaten my two brothers and dad at many songs but my mum is harder to beat! lol

buy it but its only fun with lots of other people!
