God of War (PS2)

first of all this has to be one of the goriest games on PS2 as it includes arm ripping, decapatation and all round slaughtering, but that aside this game is phenominal, a must buy (probably as good as GOW2 and easyier to complete)a brilliant gorey yet tactical game, a must buy... Tom

Crash Bandicoot 3 - Platinum (PS)

As the title says, it's the least enjoyable of the PSone Crash games although thats nothing to be ashamed of and it still clearly warrants a 5 star rating. The Wumpa Bazooka is a great idea, the Motorcycle levels however are not. This is the easiest Crash (except the stupid Motorcycle) levels, but it still has longevity and is definitely worth purchasing if you haven't played it before. Naughty Dog just don't fail to disappoint.

Final Fantasy VIII (PS)

This is the first Final Fantasy i ever played. The cinematic graphics appealed to me, just to complete a scene to see another stunning (at the time) graphics work! the intro itself is enough to draw you in and question whats this game about? Long as game, but well worth it, to get to level 100 without cheats to beat the final boss. so wicked awesome!

PSone Console

I loved the PS (the chunky one). It was a revolutionary console, bring ing gaming into the 3D - so untill we find 4d, no console has a chance of juming as larger barrier (still true 15 years from its release).

This was the first home console I owned, and it served me well. Don't bothere buying one now - just go for a 6th era console if you want cheap thrills. I got a copy (just for sentimental purposes) for £2 (or the £1.78 change I had left) at a local market. For me, it marks a simpler time - before I moved on to 6th era and eventually PC (the best platform) gaming.

SingStar II (PS3)

I have bought most of the previous singstar disks, for my girlfriend of course, but I wont be buying any more. When the new game came out with the download option I was very happy that I would be able to have all of the songs on one hard drive. But low and behold, Sony have decided to bring out a new version with different tracks and claims of an updated 'harmony' function. Firstly, other games don't seem to have a problem downloading updates and secondly, the new songs are not available for download. So if I want them, I have to buy the disk and go back to swapping.

Dark Chronicle (PS2)

I absolutely and entirely love this game. It has now been about 4 years since I played this game and yet I still remember the storyline as if I was playin it now. This game is massive in the very sense of the word, the entire world is involved in the plot, the storyline is... EPIC and the characters are your friends for the duration of the game. The story also has many plot twists and yes.. moments where you will cry. Beautiful soundtrack (Anyone remember Garden of Memories). Absolute must buy for PS2 owners.

Ratchet Gladiator (PS2)

Being obsessed with the R&C franchise, i purchased this game after finding out that tools of destruction would not be out on PS2. To be honest, i was expecting the usual adventure type game with a good plot/storyline, however, it was more like a shoot-em-up with a badly writen storyline tacked onto it. The controls have also changed a lot; contrary to the pevious games, the hoverbike races are now the most annoying and difficult to control, and there is no way of changing this. It also lacks the variety of the original R&C games, many of the planets seeme to have been copied-and-pasted with a few colours and enemies changed. Not the best game if you are looking for the classic adventure style, but good if you like sort-of-shoot-ems-ups.

SingStar: R&B with 2 Microphones (PS2)

I had long been enticed by singstar, and it's the only reason I bought a Ps2. This game is the most fun you can have with your clothes on, I always thought I was good singer or that singing on singstar would be easy, but this game showed me i am not the great singer I imagined myself to be, the game measures your pitch, tone and rhythm against that of the original recording artist, if you are performing well it gives comments such as 'awful' 'bad', 'okay''good' and 'cool'(the best comment you can receive at the end of the note), but fear not struggling singers you can adjust the difficulty levels from easy, medium to hard plus you can sing solo, duet, or pass the mic (ideal for big broups of people).This game is fun and I would definitely recommend it, especially ... Spyro The Dragon - Platinum (PS)

This is one of those great games I remember growing up with, along with Crash Bandicoot and the lesser known Warner Bros. Sheep Raider game. It's not too challenging, and isn't the most adult of games, but not all games need to leave you screaming in frustration. It's a heck of a lot of fun for all ages and it is by far one of the best games of the era. Unlike other classics of the era like Final Fantasy and Resident Evil, it's one that everyone will enjoy. Respect the Dragon!

Ratchet & Clank

Even though I never bought this game off amazon, I bought this game a while ago and there's just one word to describe it - brilliant.

It's like Sony's version of The Legend Of Zelda, only set in the future. At the beginning of the game, clank crash lands on ratchet's home planet, veldin. Ratchet goes to get clank, who's sleeping. As soon as clank wakes up, he shows ratchet an infobot, showing ratchet about an evil plan by Supreme Executive Chairman Drek which is about him destroying all the planets in the solana galaxy.
