I must confess to never watching the film - the main reason I bought this game was that I have been waiting for a good free roaming beat 'em up since the Streets of Rage games on the Mega Drive. The genre has never successfully made the transition into 3D before The Warriors.

Intitially, I was slightly underwhelmed by this game. The opening training mission was great for introducing the controls (which are very good) and characters but the second proper mission is far too long, drawn out and boring. After that's done the game really picks up and is so hard to put down.

This is one of the most complete games that I have ever played. It's well worth the money and then some. The graphics are tight, the story is deep, and the fighting is kick ass.

Highly recommended! You will NOT be sorry if you buy this game.

Midnight club 2 is an all action and racing packed game with the future of it lifting you of you're sofa into a virtual 3-D game wits, skill, passion and how well you can wheld than remont in you're back-pocket?!? i spent forty pounds on this game and thats a lot for a northerner. I expected to get my money's worth. But this game was a massively huge disappointment. It's so unrealistic. Okay you can win some cool cars but what is with the cars getting fully damaged and then 3 secs later they are fine again? stupid. oh and going at bowt 150 miles an hour and crashing into a bus isnt gonna make the same amount of damage as going at 5 miles an hour. DON'T BUY THIS GAME

GTA is not just a video game, it is a phenomenon. No other game as had so much unniversal praise, media attention and just simple become so massive. But upon playing the game you can see why. The first of the new generation GTA games in 3D on the PS2, the first thing that strikes you is just how big the game is. The world is massive, and filled with all kinds of madness.

Steal a car, drive around, speed crash, kill people for money, get into fights with gangs - all these are staples of GTA 3. I don't give a flying circus whether anyone thinks that this is a bad game for whatever reason they do, whether it is because they say it is just a poor version of Metal Gear Solid or Splinter Cell etc. (which is totally unfair as it not trying to be those games in any way and the only thing that is similar is that this is a stealth game) or just too sick and trying to be as violent as possible just to create controversy or being too boring, whatever their reason, if they don't like the horror genre then they should simply avoid it as they can't possibly appreciate what makes this game so brilliant.

Grand Theft Auto 2

Having spent far more time than I should have done playing GTA during my time at university, I was champing at the bit for GTA2. Put simply, it's great. It's better than the first one as it looks far more sophisticated - there are exciting-looking explosions when you hit cars with rocket launchers, and the volt-gun also provides snazzy graphics with electric shocks snaking over the screen. But the best thing about it is being able to drive like a total lunatic, mowing people down and picking on one gang in order to be given the "genocide" points reward. It's violent like the last one - gives you the opportunity to take out those everyday frustrations in a stress-relieving I-didn't-kill-my-flatmate way. Fantastic. And not just for men.
