Wii Fit (Wii)

Wii Fit is so much fun and the delight of it is that I've seen people who wouldn't usually do conventional exercises working out.
I know its questionable how much you can expect to achieve just using Wii Fit, but the fact that you're doing some activity that is actually quite fun, rather than sitting on your rump and playing Mario Kart, surely thats a good thing?
Shame its out of stock most of the time, and its a shame that there are so many people out there willing to rip you off (thankfully for me, I got mine at its regular price). When you can get it, do.

This is the best console ever created. The things other companies have tried before and failed Nintendo nail to make a fanastic games console. I was a little unsure buying it as i'd heard bad things about the response times of the controllers to the games but i guess it all depends on which games your playing!!

Buy one!

Having had the game for about a couple of hours and having gone throgh them all, here's what I think:

* Gameplay is average
* Only a couple of games worth playing among 9. Tank is probably the most fun, followed by Table Tennis and Billiard

To be honest I'm surprised why Wii Play gets such good ratings.

Only worth it, if you want the additional remote, which was what I wanted. Put the game itself up on eBay and sold for £10.50. Not bad.

Mario Kart (Wii)

After playing this game on my friend's Wii, I went out and bought a Wii and this game. That's how much I enjoyed it.

I have the original Mario Kart for the Super Nintendo. The basic game play is pretty much the same. You are controlling one of the characters from the Mario universe as you attempt to race around tracks and win. Along the way, you can pick up power ups to help you or hinder your opponents. Of course, that means they can attack you as well, so watch out.

With this incarnation, you've got 32 courses to play. You start out with half of them available and earn the other half as you win races. They include fun new courses created for this version as well as the best of the courses from the older incarnations ... Read More:

Dr Kawashima's Brain Training: How Old Is Your Brain? (Nintendo DS)

The character recognition is dire - enter a 1 then a 2 with an obvious gap between for 12 and it sees a 4 ! Enter a 1 and a 3 and it interprets a 9. It frequently fails to recognise Yellow (the only 2 syllable colour in the game and it interprets as Red). Most software lets you adjust for your own voice - this does not. You cannot correct wrong scores. I am now aware that the Brain Training has been panned on BBCs Watchdog - I wish I had seen it. Nintendo Wii Nunchuk Controller add-on (Wii)

Although there are games where you don't require the Nunchuck it is always handy to have one or your gameplay will be limited. Easy to add on to your controller and allows you to play a whole range of games.

You only get one wiimote in the standard kit wii console and while this is a fantastic controller hence why I have given it 5 stars for fun I think it is over priced as unlike other consoles there is no 'after market' 3rd part alternatives that are cheaper.

I would welcome a reduction in the price by nintendo to make the additional wiimotes more accessible for more people. Your looking at the best part of £150 to get 3 more wiimotes and nunchucks required for 4 player mode. I have got 4 and it really does make play more fun and allow more people to join in.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl (Wii)

I was a bit nervous on spending £30 on a game in a series i'd never played. If you are feeling like this, forget all your worries and buy it. This games multiplayer mode is amazing, me and my little brother must have fought over 100 times but still we are both stunned over some of the moves you pull off. Single play is great fun until you've done it a couple of times, but you can't have everything. Still tottally amazing though.

Turquoise DS Lite Console (Nintendo DS)

Ahhh... Nintendo. Nobody can beat Nintendo when it comes to the handheld gaming market. Nokia had a go with the N-Gage. I've only ever seen one N-Gage. And Sony had a slightly more respectable go with the PSP, which, while fun, broke fairly easily, became scratched and generally fell out of favour among those who wanted a more pick-up-and-play gaming experience.
The DS Lite improves on Nintendo's original release by making the console thinner, lighter and considerably better to look at. It's clear the Japanese gaming gurus took onboard all of the initial criticisms (of which there were not many) and built something that defies all expectations of handheld gaming.

42 All-Time Classics (Nintendo DS)

This is the first game I got with my DS, best thing I could have bought, loads of games, new ones and old favorites. It really gets your brain going, there is some thing for everyone.Very good value for money, (these DS games can be quite pricey)I cant put the thing down, even my husband is fighting over it. I highly recommend this game , especially to the more mature buyer.
