My lord it does strike me how few people(at this point none) have decided to review this game. Seeing as there is very little point in doing so now, as it is a gamecube title, i'll do it anyway!

First, you are probably expecting an ordinary RPG, absorbing plotline, turn based combat, one awesome character who everbody loves. The fact of the matter is, that it is not your textbook RPG, as the story may be absorbing but it has the first use i've ever seen of an overworld map, which plunges you into real action battles. It still, of course has a storyline that will almost literally suck you in, and instead of one amazing character, you will learn to love most of them. Apart from Collette, because she's just annoying.

Having been a gamer for many years I was pretty dubious when I first saw this with a kind of been there done that attitude. Despite the cheesy storyline however the game is quite challenging and most importantly fun too. The only thing it can be faulted on is the difficulty can be challenging to the point of annoying at times like the hardest of old skool videogames.

If you love platformers and want a more deep fighting system then is normally found on these sorts of games though then look no further. Kids and adult gamers should get a kick out of this as long as they have the patience, in fact if it was released sooner on PS2 I think ninja would have become a gaming icon like jax and daxter for example
