.....It could very well be- if you're into JRPG's and anime in general, then it's likely this will be the big shiny jewel atop the PS2's crown for you.
For those who don't know- this version is essentially a 'director's cut' of the original Persona 3- which became my favourite RPG ever (until this version came out, of course.) It has everything he original had, plus more- more characterisation, more Personas to find/create.... but that's not the main thing. This version contains the extra chapter- "The Answer," that take place after the main story (called "The Journey") Yeah- that's up to about another 30 hours play time crammed in with all the other extras!
The story focuses around a young hero (you) moving to a new city and ... Read More:

A good game and a vast improvement of the last 5 games. However the game has lost it main trill in the Musou mode. They are so few that I lost intrest after playing the few officers modes.
The game is a must have, but I hope the next one will improve on the short comings of this one.

The Dynasty Warriors series has always been one with a lover it or hate it attitude. Those who love it generally stick with the series for a long time regardless of the changes made. Those who hate it... generally will always hate it.
As one of the other reviews has already stated at length all the major changes that have been implemented already so I will not go into much detail in regards to those areas.
In some aspects of characters the weapon selection has been changed from the old usual's found in last gen, the more exotic of weapons have all but been removed, Zhang He's Claws, Sun Ce's Tonfas have been changed, most characters all have similar weapons, swords, spears or pikes, also the weapon system has been changed ... It's hard to review a game when it doesn't work on the slightly older (9 months) Wii models. I was told that all I needed was an update (due to this disc being one of a few dual layered discs available as yet), but as the system was updated as far as it could be this was not possible. It works well on the shops Wii (which is brand new) who refuse to take it back. So I now have a game that does not work...period.
Still waiting for Nintendo to let me know as to why (3 weeks and counting).
Am I the only person to experience this ??? Surely not !!

G1 Jockey 2008 is highly enjoyable and addictive but fails for a few reasons:
1. The graphics have not improved (dramatically) since the 2003 version on the PS2.
2. The inbetween races scenes in story mode are over long, cliched and date from the ice age - surely a few voice actors and such are not too expensive rather than having to read stuff over and over.
3. The training system could certainly be better.
However, if you want to be a jockey, this is the closest most of us will get and the actual racing is good fun, if you don't ride your horse to its style you won't do well and if you are on a donkey, the good horses will beat you even if you run a great race - the playability is great.

I have played this game and found it extremely fun. The Voice acting id great along with the gameplay and the graphics are pretty good as well. It is amazing how each chracter has their own story and musou mode.
No downsides at all in my opinion.
A recomended buy for KOEI fans.

Warriors Orochi 2 follows the original in terms of concepts, adding a few new characters and a few updates to the play system, both of which increase longevity; the save from the first will also unlock a few things early to ease your first few goes.
For newcomers, this is a 3D 1 vs. many fighting game with RPG and strategy elements, where you pick a team of three weapon-wielding characters and run around a map killing people, rescuing people, riding horses, doing little missions that involve killing specific people, escorting people somewhere, or reaching a certain place in a time limit. It can be pretty fun! Every character is also based - albeit loosely at times! - on an east Asian deity or real person in east Asian history, which is part of why ... Read More:

This is one of those games that starts off really good and you can easily get into it, mainly because of the simple controls and game play that is very simple to understand and get to grips with. Also, there are a lot of customizable features for your character and you can choose what type of squad you want to take charge of. However, after not too long, the large battles get extremely repetitive, and you find yourself repeating yourself over and over with the same troops and same tactics. The storyline is very fragmented as it takes a lot of battles to move from one part to the next and it can get very dull and you begin to lose interest. The idea for the game is very good but i think it has been poorly made compared to the standard of a lot of games out for the ... Read More:

The best game in the series so far. I have played IX, X and XI and this appears to be the best one with balance on grand-strategy and role-playing element.
