Sins Of A Solar Empire (PC)

Not only is this a great game (check out the reviews for it) it is also published by a company that respects its cash paying customers.

After reading the review, i decided i couldnt wait for UK release, so i bought online in the USA, downloaded it, then shortly after the DVD arrived in the post.

Its a very deep RTS, kinda like Homeworld 2 but more intense and more deep. If you like Homeworld 2 your gonna love this game.

On the subject of DRM... Stardock's policy is to sell its games without horrible SecureROM or other evil harmful malware/data mining software being included. It believes that its cash paying customers should be treated with respect as they want their customers to return in the future. It ... Read More:

Galactic Civilizations 2: Endless Universe (PC)

Superb 4X strategy game from Stardock, who continue to improve it and who also host a thriving player community.

Be warned, this is a specific compilation of Dark Avatar and Twilight of Arnor and doesn't include the original campaign from the first release of GalCiv 2., however that's no real loss as the original game was fundamentally changed with patches to make it better but the campaign got a little borked in the process. What's offered by way of the two expansions is all you really need.

No multiplayer but brilliant singleplayer experience.

This is a carbon copy of the old microprose "grand prix manager" cica 1995 but with new menus/icons. The graphics are poor and the game is very buggy.

Theatre Of War (PC DVD)

This game is the WW2 equivilant to Take commands, American civil wargame- 2nd manassas, which I consider to be the best and most realistic wargames so far released.Theatre of wars attention to detail is superb and the tank model detail is fantastic to say the least.Balistics and shell penetration are intelligently taken in to account, with a line of sight model which leaves other WW2 games I have played virtually blown out of the sky.Admitted it has a few faults ie-it crashes for no reason occasionally through gameplay,but this can be countered by consistent saving through the coarse of a mission,and anyway the total enjoyment I get from playing the game far outweighs this glitch.Thanks kalypso- can't wait for the north african add on,which i'm ...
