So nice to not have to shoot everything for once.
This game has been slightly over hyped so to bring it back to earth...
Cut scenes awful even if they are a cover for loading. When you briefly get guns the aiming is twitchy. Its not open/sandbox as it might have been portrayed. Paths are linear with only a few local options for different routes. Never really get a chance to get a long fast run. Combat and disarming are weak. Push the button objectives, loading elevators, crawling in ducts are all a bit old school. You will fall off buildings and die hundreds of times...

Yes, it has a distinctive graphical style, but that is where the originality ends. I wanted to love it, I really did.

As mentioned elsewhere - it is very linear - there is one way through each level and that is it. This is most definitely NOT a next-gen game. Follow a set route and occasionally press a button - whoop-de-doo. Here we are with a next gen PS3 and a nicely rendered city that we could explore...but no, we run along a set route and occasionally press a button. Oh, and there's the odd hidden bag to collect (which makes all the difference!).

The running and jumping are fun for a while (a little while), don't get me wrong, but when the seemingly endless succession of helicopters begin to show up, cutting you to shreds ... Read More:

Dead Space (PS3)

This game looks great, but if you are one of those people who doesnt like reapeating things over and over then dont buy this. Most of the time you simply dont have enough weapons/ ammo, so it takes you about 10 goes to complete a small section. This can get very boring !! Also the aliens appear from no where you have no indication of where they are coming from and when you try to run from them to get a better point to shoot... guess what you bump into a door or a box that materializes from no where !! Apart from the few annoyances, the game is pretty creepy, weird noises and pretty gruesome aliens, when you get killed which is frequent, the killing seaquence can be a bit drawn out !! I have found myslef shouting at the screen ' I get the point' as an alien slashes you ... Read More:

Spore Creatures (Nintendo DS)

This game is shockingly bad, I actually couldn't beleive it was as bad as it first seemed so I played it for a few hours. I love games like this (sims, urbz etc) and, generally can waste hours on them. but no... It is as bad as it seems.

Graphics are awful, I probably could draw a better, more imaginative creature on my own bottom. It looks like it's been made for 3 year olds.

The game play is totally linear, you literally just do simple, pointless, inane tasks in the order they tell you to.

Don't waste your money...

Although this Games does have very good 3D Graphics, the games itself is very dissapointing. I got it for my Birthday last year, played for a few days and then got bored of it. I find this game very Frustrating and Annoying and i am extremely dissapointed in it. I would not recommend it to anyone.

Very easy game to play. The characters are cartoon type. Takes a while to load between each level. When you have completed the game, the next time is can be different if you move in different characters. I completed in 48 hours and sold it on. It is the least interesting Sims game i have played to date

Appallingly unplayable in many places, a hugely disappointing, criminal waste of fantastic graphics, vocal and writing talent.

Several sections, even in so-called 'easy' mode, can only be passed by the brute force application of tedious hours spent repeating the same task literally hundreds of times until by accident you succeed. And since you can't bypass them, you will be tearing your hair out in frustration as you watch your character slowly die yet again, putting you back to the start.

Sometimes puzzles are simply incomprehensible and you will often need to resort to walkthru guides to progress.

Boom Blox (Wii)

I loved Mario Galaxy and since then have never found a better game on the Wii, (apart from RS4), something that's addictive and fun to play with your other half! Graphics and music great, similar maybe to tetris, it's blocks and additive, bargin for £15
