turn off offside, turn off injuries, turn off bookings and create yourself an excellent arcade football game that will make your thumbs ache.

graphically its more than enough for a handheld, being able to run one torunament at a time is a bit annoying but the gameplay is great.

at amateur level, your keeper will rush out but treat this game as an aracde score more than your oppnent and you will enjoy 4-3 matches.

auto switch is better than manual switch but only just, maybe 09 will iron out this minor problem.

Rock Band Song Pack 1 (Wii)

I bought this song pack at the same time as I bought the main rock band game, naively expecting the songs on it to be the ones listed in the manufacturers description of this item.

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 08 (PS3)

I was so looking forward to playing this game but what a let down it is.For a start the action is very jerky and the controls using the stick are very sensetive.The only thing that it has going for it is more golfers and more courses.But quality is squashed by quantity.If they had added half of the golfers and courses and put a bit more into gameplay then it could have been a cracker.I own woods 06 on the 360 and it knocks this version out of the park.Only a few golfers to select and not many courses but i will still be playing it long after i have thrown away woods 08 on ps3.One last gripe i have with the game and it does actually apply to the whole range of tiger woods golf games not just this one.When i pay a lot of money for a game i do not expect ... Need For Speed Underground 2 (PS2)

Need for Speed 2 is the best racing game ever! Because I have to option to set the game to my level - Easy. This is useful as I can progress through the game even though I do not have alot of time to play it. The graphics are excellent there is a solid feel about the game's environment which is reinforced with sound effects. The city is beautiful and I love free roaming, finding hidden races and bank money that is left around the city. This story is simple and adds interest to the game. I have played this game over and over, ever since it was first released. I have also played the other NFS games but for me this one is the best.

Hellgate: London (PC DVD)

Don't buy this game the company (Flagship Studios) who made it no longer exists and when January 31st 2009 comes around the company currently supporting the multiplayer servers (Namco-Bandai) will be dropping their support and the US and EU servers will close.

Now on the other hand you can still play the game offline in a Singleplayer function (which is good if you can find the latest singleplayer patch online). It's not as great as the multiplayer was though (and things that were subscriber only for the multi don't appear in the singleplayer).

NBA LIVE 09 (PS3)

Every year I buy both NBA Live and NBA 2K, for a few years now I believe 2K has been the far better game in terms of graphics and gameplay. Not anymore!

The Dynamic DNA feature is amazing, the players really do follow their tendencies and it makes the game feel much more realistic.

Taking free throws is sooo easy, i havent missed one yet and on the 2K series they can prove to be quite difficult and it feels like you are Shaq when at the line.

Dynasty mode is much improved. You get points throught the year for winning games, getting on the all-star team etc and then you can upgrade your staff and eventually get them all to an A standard. Tiger Woods PGA Tour 08 (Xbox 360)

I can't believe how let down by this game i was.
Having played the pc version of this game (and it was absolutely fantastic) i expected the 360 version to be at least on a par with it.
How wrong i was. The graphics on this game are absolutely shocking.
The pc version leaves it dead and buried. As for the game play,i don't
find it very user friendly. Try as i might(and believe me,i have tried
very hard)i just can't find anything good to say about this version of the game. It's a real shame as i bought this on the back of playing the pc version and having seen the fantastic graphics on other xbox 360 games

NHL 09 (Xbox 360)

I've had most of the NHL games since 1997.

Pros - The graphics are a slight improvement. The new Pro mode has been enhanced slightly and very good fun.
The AI of the goalies and defence is improved being a little harder to score on a goalie.

Cons - The difference between Rookie and pro levels is astonishing - Playing as Montreal Legends (best team in the game) against Italy
(probably the worst team) in Pro mode saw me needing a 55th minute equalizer to save being beat in a closely competitive game. In Rookie level i was 3-0 up inside 1 period and went on to win 6-0 in a very one sided game.

The refs are shocking in quck play mode- almost every hook or check merits a penalty unless you turn the settings for penalties down th the first ... Read More:

Skate (PS3)

The control system for this game makes absolutely no sense. Half the time it doesn't perform the 'flickit' tricks anyway. After a couple of the most infuriating hours of my life trying to get to grips with this control system I have given up.

I'm sure some of the other features are great but i'm not going to get to use these because the control system is unfathomable and infuriating. I won't even trade this in as some poor other person who has heard the ridiculous hype might waste money on it!

I would recommend spending the time you would have to invest actually learning to skateboard!
